HAHA! I wish this were true. Look we may argue about many things in Chess vs. Poker but the one topic which there is no arguing is that THERE IS NO MONEY IN CHESS. NONE. WHATSOEVER. If you are one of the strongest players int he country you can expect to make < 100K a year.

If you are even slightly under that you are simply unemployed and sleeping underneath a bridge. that's it, nothing follows.

Even the weakest poker player who manages to score a couple of hundred $ a week at a low level cash game because it's full of donks is doing better than most title players in the US.
