Position is like water, you don't need to know why it helps you for it to help you.

(I think that's Tommy Angelo)

Also, when the stacks get really deep in loose live games, I can see a potential strategy in which you open limp your entire range UTG, and UTG+1 being pretty good, assuming that you're willing to balance a limp re-raising rang.

I think there's a reason why on more than a couple of occasions we saw Durrrr open limp pots on HSP.

See the Raptor well on limping buttons HU. If there is any situation in which limping would be considered "awful" it is HU, yet he made it a standard part of his strategy.

Pump or dump is never a bad idea though.

lol at the notion of adding in the worst possible hands to an open limping range for balance. I mean, in order for common place open limping to be profitable the players need to be super bad, so balance is never going to be necessary.

It was either tj cloudier or tom mcevory who suggested opening limping with a strong hand such as pocket jacks because if u were to open it and get 3 bet u will most likely want to fold instead of paying more to just fold to a flop bet. But if u were to open limp then u can get to the flop easier to set mine or evaluate everything later. They say limp/calling is weak but I say opening/folding is stupid. Opening/calling, check/fold or check/stack off is worst. So yeah, I believe stations with no fold equity, aggro 3 bettors, and lags who attack with 72o are good reason to open limp.

Those 3 things are all good reasons to raise

If you're going to raise/fold JJ to an aggro 3-bettor, then yeah raising is worse than limping. But here's another thought: when you're destroying Villain's range*, maybe don't fold!

*You're aware that "aggro" means he's 3-betting many more hands than just QQ+, right?

Thats just wrong. It obv depends on effective stacks but limping bu in hu games is pretty std and there are stack depths where using a high mr strategy is considered "fishy" amongst solid players.

The dilemma here is opening and getting floated on the turn after cbetting flop/or checking flop

Or opening IP and cbetting flop, checking turn and not knowing what to do on the river facing a probe bet

It's hard to spot betting lines for us beginners no?
