Hi,

I am NL50-NL100 grinder on MPN, currently playing preflop ranges which a former coach gave to me. They're something like 25/19 8% 3bet.

However, as I am multitabling rakeback hunter, I would feel more comfortable with tighter ranges, maybe sth like 20/17 6% 3bet I think it would also suit better to the environment I am playing in because I dont expect to get exploited too much and to sum up I believe that tighter preflop ranges would improve my win rate significantly.

But how should I proceed? A friend said to me, make your own ranges... but I dont trust myself so much and I dont want to make mistakes in them or be not properly balanced and then perform worse than before.

So do you maybe know where I can find nitty 6max ranges? Like for every position, open raise and then 3bet/call/4bet for every positions (COvBU, SBvUT, etc.)

Thanks in advance!

Strange. If you're good enough to beat 50NL, I'm surprised that you can't tell which hands "play better" than others in each position, or you don't trust your own abilities to build slightly tighter pre-flop ranges.
If you've got some charts and a decent sample size, why can't you just look at your results (using filters in a tracking software program) and work out which are the least profitable hands in each position... and then start folding them?
e.g. If your coach gave you a chart for an UTG opening range and it included all suited aces, and small pairs, you might find you've lost money with A7s/A6s A3s/A2s and 44, or something like that. Remove them from your opening range and you're automatically tighter and more profitable.

I've never been a stats or HUD player, but here's where I draw the line between loose and tight. If I see a player opening wider than these ranges, I think he's loose. If some of these hands don't show up in my opponent's opening ranges, then I think he's tight.

utg: 66+, A2s+, AJo+, K9s+, KJo+, QTs+, J9s+, T9s, 98s.

btn: 22+, A2s+, A3o+, K2s+, K7o+, Q2s+, Q8o+, J7s+, J8o+, T7s+, T8o+, 97s+, 98o, 86s+, 76s, 65s.

sb: 22+, A2s+, A2o, K2s+, K4o+, Q2s+, Q6o+, J2s+, J7o+, T2s+, T7o+, 95s+, 97o+, 85s+, 87o, 75s+, 76o, 64s+, 54s, 43s.

If I wanted to tighten up because of a loose 3 betting opponent behind me, I'd lose the weaker offsuit hands first. For example, in the small blind I'll drop 87o and 76o before I'll drop 54s and 43s.

If I wanted to loosen up because of opponents that rarely 3 bet and play poorly postflop, then I'd add suited hands first. For example, in the small blind, I'll add 92s-93s, 84s, 74s, 63s, 53s, and 32s before I add K2o, K3o.
