I play some people in HUSNG's who take forever to act, and when i do a search
they are only playing the one game
It makes me wonder if people do this to try and tilt you
After a while i politely ask them to speed it up a bit but there is never a answer
which makes me believe this more
I have since marked players on stars with a certain coloured ring so i can avoid them in the lobby

Why not just play them and also play a bazillion other tables too?

You lose a lot of edge. They basically turn a regular into a turbo, turbo into a super-turbo, etc. I'd assume the ones that do it regularly and one table are a combination of trying to annoy people and trying to do this. I guess they think the people who play the slower ones might not be as good at turbo formats as the ones who play the turbo formats, plus the added tilt factor sometimes.

If it was cash game I'd agree. Obviously also agree if you still like your edge in turbo against them (plus get to play more tables as you suggest).

ETA - I also think some bumhunter types just do it when they happen to play a good player on accident. They figure even a better player doesn't have much edge in a super-turbo.

OK, so then I guess I don't know what the point of this post is.

Here's how I look at it, if my opponent likes to play fast, then my playing slow will annoy him and possibly make him play worse.

If my opponent likes to play slow, maybe I can play even slower or way faster to annoy him.

Douchebag factor is high, but the potential for profit is there.

If you want to douchebag somebody hard, get the nuts, induce someone into shoving, and take until the last few seconds on the clock to call. For some reason people go ape**** over this.

Anybody who plays slow on purpose isn't very good. HUSNG's have next to no skill factor soon enough if you play them fast. If you play them very slow on purpose you might as well just go to your local bacc table. The vig is considerably cheaper there with roughly the same skill factor.

when it happen to me, i start to play slowly too just to show that it doesnt tilt me. Sometimes my opponent start to play faster cause he understand that i wont tilt.

This is a known strat. Some people sit at HU no blind increase SNGs, and take the maximum time for every move, figuring that eventually you will give up and log off.

Ever consider they are doing something else? like watching tv or surfing the web? Maybe talking to their wife/husband about dinner ?
