How do you calculate the EV of defending blinds? How do you calculate the EV of defending blinds?

I'm trying to construct BB and SB defend ranges versus a late position steal and I'm finding it pretty complicated. My main question is how to calculate the EV of a particular range. Factors I need to consider are:

size of the steal - is it 2x giving me more than 3-1 or 2.5x giving me 2.5-1, or is it a min raise giving me 3-5-1 on a call

how wide villain is stealing

how often villain folds to 3bets from BB or CO

how wide my calling range can be based on pot odds

what parts of my range i can consider XC or XR on certain boards

... please add others

I'd love to hear some advice on defending the blinds. It's a very interesting dynamic and one I'd like to do more detailed research on. My general strategy is to call with broadway, suited aces and pairs, then XC medium strength hands and some draws, XR made hands, most draws and some bluffs, XF the rest. But how do I calculate the EV of this strategy vs different opponents?
