So I really have problems figuring out how wide to defend against players who are not 3 betting enough... I am not looking for an exact range or an exact situation so for my example I will just say I am otb and get 3 bet by villain..
lets assume I open something like 50% or more otb because the blinds are rather tight and I get 3 bet by villain who 3 bets 7% SBvsBTN. sample size a couple of hundred hands also giving me not enough information about his postflop strategy in 3 bet pots...
I think defending 40sh % of my Range in this spot would be quite bad. by folding more, he could exploit me, but since he is not exploiting me, is it fine to fold more? how wide can I profitable defend? I could look at the equity of each hand vs his range, but I still have to play flop, turn and river... so it think it is not that simple...

It depends on how well he plays post-flop and how deep stacks are, but the exploitative play against a player who raises too tightly is often to fold when he raises.

Otb doesn't have a narrow 3b. Also it's -ev look at him let alone risk money at the same table. Smh
