if you're playing 5/10 plo with 4.5% rake capped at $100 and getting 65% rakeback what does your bb/100 have to be to break even?

Taking into account rake to determine the breakeven bb/100 is difficult cuz it depends on players playing stile, TAG players will pay less rake on average for every 100 hands than a LAG player but on average you´re raking around one full buy in per every 1,000 hands played, you can check this stats on your tracking software (HEM2 or PT4).

So if we use this assumption we can then define a winrate for rake like this...

Rake in bb/100 = ((Rake Paid / BB) / (Hands Played / 100))

So, after this we need to include the rakeback into the winrate calculation like...

WR+RB = ((Total Profit / BB ) / (Hands Played / 100))

Compare the 2 and you will know if you´re beating rake or not.
