Can a single pair be a favorite against two pairs? Can a single pair be a favorite against two pairs?

Hello,

can a single pair on an unpaired flop have over 50% equity against two pairs?

The best I could get was 48.33% equity:

65 vs. 75 on a 875 flop.

Is this the maximum equity possible for a single pair vs. 2 pairs, or is a single pair with over 50% equity possible?

Slightly adapt your example to have a higher pair than the two pair then youll get a best hand even without a pp

In your own example, it's the combo with two pairs that has 48.35% equity. 65s (bottom pair + OESFD) is a 51.65% favourite.

An example where one pair is a big favourite would be TP+OESFD vs bottom two pairs.

KQhh 64.46% 63.55% 0.91% (One pr + OESFD)
JdTd 35.54% 34.63% 0.91% (Bottom two pairs)
