3 bet Raising Size Question

Say I have a 100 BB stack.
and facing a raise of 3 bb's.
I Plan to 3 bet from the blinds .. So standard here is 3.5 x the opener size.
raise his 6 dollars to 21...

Question is what if i have 50 bb stack.

Would it be correct now to raise to 15.. or 2.5 the raise in this case?

Or is it always correct to raise 3.5x when 3 betting? A friend of mine thats pretty knowledgeable said this might be the case.

If i do 2.5x the 3 bet .. Am I giving person too good of odds or something?

Any advice on this issue would be much appreciated.

Stacks: BTN 100BB, you 13BB.

BTN opens 3BB, you make it 10.5BB, leaving yourself 2.5BB behind. Does that sound like the best play to you? If not, always making it 3.5x wouldn't be best.

I just click the pot button unless that would be investing >15% of the effective stack, in which case I play shove/call/fold.
