100bb deep vs 3bet Math question.

Okay so I should know this and it probably shouldn't be that hard to work out.

But basically if we raise to 2.5x on the button, sb 3bets to 10x and has a 16% range here what can we 4bet call with profitably assuming he gets in 1010+ AQ AK.

would be useful if someone could show me how you work it out and also how I can construct a 4bet call range vs someone with different % ranges

Ty.

Re: 100bb deep vs 3bet Math question.

given those numbers, a range of TT+ AQ+ is 4.7%. so he's folding (16-4.7)/16 = 71% of the time

assuming you 4bet bluff to say 23x, you're putting in 20.5x to win 13.5x which only needs to work 60% of the time to breakeven. so it is profitable to 4bet your entire range, and then if he shoves just call with whichever hands have the right pot odds to call.

this ignores of course that he might adjust to your wide 4betting range and 3bet a little tighter (and/or 5bet shove wider). so you might want to cut out some of the bluffs. also it ignores that with some hands it might be more profitable to call and see a flop in position than to 4bet, but that is not a simple calculation to do.
