What are the benefits to the vip gear levels? What are the benefits to the vip gear levels?

Effectively, you earn VIP Points at a 35% slower rate than VIP Players due to daily rakeback payments.
This is my understanding as well. So everyone can move up through the "gears" and get the value associated with each one, just at a different pace depending on if you receive RB or not.

Correct, Seth?

I have rakeback and I clicked on the "Fast Lane Rake Chase" to enroll and I am showing up on the list. I dont have an affiliate, I got rakeback though RPMSeth.

ive read the FAQ multiple times and am very confused at all of this.

As a rakeback player, which parts of the VIP program do we not get to participate in?

I am really confused about how it says 2nd gear: "Redeem your VIP points for cold, hard cash. Earn $90 while playing on this
level!"

but then you can exchange (2nd gear) 10,000 pts for $100. Is this a separate thing? I dont get why one says trade points for cash, and earn $90 on 2nd gear (and doesnt mention how many points) and then the other thing says trade in 10,000 pts for $100 for 2nd gear.

Anyone car to enlighten me on this?

you know what, after looking closer at sethsPM I am pretty sure that its right that RB players can only trade in the points for the 10,000 for $100 rate and that the gear system is irrelevant to me.

so no explanation necessary

I would be interesting in knowing if the Gear System is the only promotion that RB players don't get a piece of?

According to the VIP page, the benefits include:

COLD HARD CASH
Cold, Hard Cash
and cold, hard cash.

Does anybody know just how cold and hard the provided cash is?

I'd prefer the answer in the form of a haiku.

I'd like to understand this a little better as well. If you sign up through an affiliate, you cannot participate in Fast Lane rake chase. What other promotions are not available to you?

I think all other promos are open. I know RTR advertises all of the other ones on their site.

I don't know if this helps the discussion at all, but I just passed 10k points in second gear and i was able to purchase the $100 VIP bonus which was instacredited to my account, which was really cool. I have rakeback thru Seth.

My account is still showing 10k+ VIP points, so I presume when I get another 10k points I will be eligible for another $100 bonus. The page shows $200, but my hunch is that is a cumulative number????

Congrats on 10K! Although it doesn't say it specifically in that spot, most other places that talk about rewards refer to Total Reward Earned. So I'm thinking it's $100 per 10K.

Can you provide link to where RTR advertises the other RPM promotions? I didnt see much at their website.

Snooping around the RPM website, and noticed that the 500-5x promo may not apply to all affiliate members. It advised to contact support (or, really, RPMSeth) and see what you're eligible for.

Thanks for point this out. I looked at RPM website a bit more and found the following promotions also have that "may not apply to all affiliate members" attached:

- king of the road
- bankroll boost

Being new, I have no idea how valuable these promotions are. But Seth recommended just signing up directly and I think he is probably right..

I think that's where the value is at anyway. As far as the above mentioned promos, unless you're going to put it an insane amount of volume every month, you're probably not going to get much value out of these.

I did some back of the envelop calculation and I now believe being able to participate in these additional promotions is way more +EV.

- 500-5x: at $10+1 SNGs, this will net $50 (is this "self-stackable"? i.e. if you get in 1000 games, do they apply 500-5x twice, thus giving you $100?)

- king of the road: is this really that hard? I mean 1250 SNGs should be easy if I have plenty time to play. Unless I cannot play enough games due to low traffic in SNGs. But if hit, this gives you $200 cold hard cash plus $500 bonus (need to clear it, right?)

- Bankroll boost: yeah this is going to be hard. not gonna count on it.

You have to play 1250 sng's AND 12,500 hands of cash.

Ahh. I missed that.

It is pretty silly that they don't add at least a small multiplier for each level. Personally, I'd rather be able to get $100 5 times than $500 once just because you're earning the $100 faster than you'd earn $500.

So now I've gotten another 10.5k points, but I can't buy the next bonus yet because I am still in second gear. I'm wondering what is the trigger to get from one gear to the next.

It is listed in Player Admin, click VIP on the top bar and it will show you the # of points needed for each level. To reach 3rd gear the total is 22,500 total points. There is also a progress bar in the lobby and if you mouse over it will display your total points and how many more are needed for the next level.

Without RB the points are worth more as your level increases but with RB it stays the same once you reach level 2. That value is a penny a point which is the value of points earned at level 4 without RB if I have figured it correctly.

With RB I assumed that when you had enough points you could exchange them for $ without needing to get to the next level since the value of points does not change as you increase levels. From what you are saying that is not the case.
Like you I am at level 2 and have purchased one bonus.

Could someone with more experience please clarify the purchasing of bonuses?

As rakeback players, it seems like we are going to end up with a lot of points that we won't be able to convert to cash as we progress through the gears. To hit gear 4, I will need 45,000 points, but I will only be able to purchase 3 $100 bonuses, using 30,000 points. To hit 5th gear, I will need 90,000 points, but will only be able to have purchased 4 $100 bonuses, using 40,000 points. That would leave 50,000 left over points. Maybe the remaining points will have to be used on tourneys. Or maybe I am still just not understanding this program. I'd be interested to hear from players that have progressed to higher gears as well.

I definitely think you're not understanding the program. You can convert your points to cash more than once at each level. Maybe my experience will shed some light on this. I'm a rakeback player and I'm 90% of the way through 4th gear.

While in 2nd gear, I converted 10,000 points for $100 cash twice.

While in 3rd gear, I converted 20,000 points for $200 cash twice.

And while in 4th gear, I converted $30,000 points for $300 cash twice.

In 5th gear I will need 40,000 points to convert into a $400 bonus. I'm assuming I will do this twice before I reach top gear.

And then in top gear I will need 50,000 points to convert into a $500 bonus and I can do this as many times as I want since there is no gear above top gear. So every time I have 50,000 points I can convert into $500 cash.

I hope this helps. PM me if you still have questions.
