Re: VIP SNG'S?

RPMJon told me that for the foreseeable future, they are gone. I doubt they are coming back. This sucks because I used to play them quite a bit. It was one of the few ways to use VIP points. What now...

Edit: BRING THEM BACK PLEASE!

those 525 vip sngs were my "Freeroll" into the 100k every week, sighh any reason why they stopped them?

Guess we're forced to play mtts with our points now

Enjoyed using points in the VIP SNGs.

Reconsider and bring them back please.

Re: VIP SNG'S?

I posted this in the Lock and Carbon Forums. Doubtful these will ever be back. If they are some changes will be made. Not sure why OP decided to create 3 threads on the subject. But I thought I would share my thoughts here too just in case people do not check the other forums.

My guess is that they got rid of them because they were losing too much money from these. When people who were on skins such as BCP or RPM and had a VIP tier of over 7 Merge was essentially giving these people a freeroll. For each $1.05 100 point vip sng there is only $6 in the prize pool. If two people on the 9 VIP tier for example won now the 300 points they won are actually worth $6 apiece to them. So merge has to pay out $12 and only received $6 in buyins. I had thought for awhile that these would probably be removed. As we get farther away from Black Friday more and more people continue to play on skins like RPM and BCP and their lifetime VIP levels are increasing so Merge had to notice the money they would lose if people at the top of the VIP tiers began playing these all the time.

Hmm.. I didn't realize the very +EV nature of these (kinda assumed they were only VIP point buy-in). I guess I too want these back now!
