I'm considering trying RPM out. How many players do you have at peak hours?

RPM is on the Merge Network. There are about 4-5k players online at peak.

Merge network is only good for micro stakes. Do not play if you want action in midstakes to highstakes or any action besides hold em. Merge network is almost all hold em players.

Depending on what you're looking for the games are definitely growing. A month or so ago I'd have trouble 2 tabling during a weekday on the West Coast. Now I'm able to 4-5 table regularly without games breaking down. The HU action is also growing.
