Agree with this, how hard is it to separate them by tournament/game for us and let us sort through sequentially.

REALLYYYYYYYYYYYY BAD. -2 points.

this is unreal, i cant even rebuy or addon, just throwing away original buyin being at such a disadvantage

* SINGLE-TABLE TOURNAMENTS: If a Tournament is cancelled because for technical reasons, any players who were eliminated prior to cancellation will not be refunded in any way and will not receive any prizepool dividends.

Players that were active in the tournament at the time of cancellation will receive:

The entry fee refunded
The buy-in refunded from the prizepool
An equal share of the remainder of the prizepool

this is NOT fair, 6man sng everyhand timedout, why should 1 person have more than another when not 1 hand was fairly"Played" also i dont think its fair if someone bustsout they get nothing, but if someone has 50 chips they get buyin back? doesnt seem right

Pokerstars.net FTW!!!!
My God you need an age verification...

People, relax. Stuff happens, go outside for awhile, it'll work itself out.

Registration for tournaments and SNGs has been paused while Merge works on the issues affecting them. Players will be notified via the client when the updates are completed.

As for people who want Mini-Mode back: turn off avatars, chat-box, BJ icon, etc. and you've got a pretty close approximation to Mini-Mode. The cards are still a bit on the small side, but the Player Names and Table Balances get bigger. Just a suggestion.

I've been playing on and off today on Cash Games, SNG's, and Tournaments. Other than the incredible lag, I don't have any major complaints about the software. Sure, there are a few little things I don't like about the developers' misuse of space, but the overall experience (sans lag) is much improved.

A few of the things I like/don't like and some ideas for fixes:

-- Player Tags and Colored Player Boxes are ****ing awesome. I can now use them in conjunction to tag someone as, say, loose pre-flop and tight post-flop. This is huge as opposed to just using one tag to call someone solid or fish.

-- Thank God for a larger font in the Notes box! I can actually read what I've written about players now!

-- Most of the concepts behind the main lobby changes are pretty good. The ability to sort by Hands/Hr or Avg Players/Flop is rudimentary but a good idea. I kinda like the drop-down when you click on the arrow next to a table's name. I think people are complaining about it just because it takes some getting used to. Maybe if there was something similar that could be done by hovering the mouse over the table they'd be happy...?

-- It's a little weird changing from one game-type to another, i.e., navigation from Cash to SNG to Tournament usually requires me to re-click the Oil Filter. It should automatically remember my settings. Also, it would be nice to have the option to Name and Save different groups of settings. For instance, I could have one user-defined setting called Bounty SNG's and another titled Small Stakes Super-Turbos.

-- Tournament Lobbies (wait, you mean there's a button on the table I can click and get the Tournament Lobby now? Holy Crap!) are improved but still need work. Right now I can't resize them, and this has to change. Also there is no indication as to when a Rebuy Period will end. This is a must have and an easy fix, I think. I'd like to be able to see how many players are paid without having to scroll down the Prize Pool window, as well.

-- I think that table space could be used a bit better. The Action Boxes could be a good deal bigger, and the Pre-check Action Boxes are way too small. And cards are too small. Give me the option to change card-faces, and an option to view full cards for myself (small cards are fine for the other players at the table, but I need to be able to see my own cards and community cards.)

-- The In-Client Ledger History and other similar improvements are solid, and I'm glad I don't have to visit a web-page to get this information. But my Ledger History is a little whacked -- I'd much rather have things just sorted chronologically than by table or tournament. I want to see my balance.

-- Good God, please do something about the Hand History. Sorting through a month or week's worth of hands to find out what happened in the last hand is ridiculous.

For those saying that the software update is basically just a prettier version of Merge 5.0, from what I've heard the new software will allow Merge to perform future updates much more smoothly, meaning stupid **** like the rebuy problems can be more easliy fixed. I agree that whoever's decision it was to roll out the software 2 or 3 weeks earlier than it was slated for made a massive mistake. But I think that once they get the major bugs fixed this software will put them near the top of heap in this industry.

I'm going to cross-post this in a few different threads, as some of this stuff hasn't been getting addressed among all the "OMG I'm taking my money to the competitor!" hoop-la.

so weird....not only was it lagging like crazy in the cash games 30 minutes ago...my default avatar changed into a different avatar without me changing it?

I would disagree with your assessment, which is why I deleted your post and sent you a PM with an explanation as to why it was removed. You are more than welcome to add to this thread if you have an opinion - positive or negative - or something constructive to add. All we ask is that you please keep this thread on topic, specifically to the version 6.0 software. Thank you!

How do I get to the player admin in 6.0?
06-07-2012 , 12:58 AM
and is it me or is the transfer option gone?
06-07-2012 , 12:58 AM
There is no player admin in the 6.0 software, and Merge is currently working to fix the P2P transfer feature as there is a known issue.

Wow. First time playing since this upgrade. So am I right that there are no SNG's except those created by players? And the scheduled tournament list is pretty minimal as well. Is that right? If so, when will we see a more normal set of tournaments? If this is all true I can't believe how short this thread is.
