Re: software crashes?

I been getting crashes 3 times+ in a days grinding. Got a brand new comp too so I know it can't be my computer. Asked support what gives only thing he said was use less background programs running. I just want to know how many disconnect protects we get in a day lol. I wouldn't mind cus it takes only 3 secs to log back in but if I crash and lose hands or blinds I'll be more worried. Right now its just slightly annoying.

Probably. I can't even take a number two without getting kicked off all my tables by the time I get back. Makes no sense at all.

The software crashes and how much memory the Merge client is very frustrating and it would be nice if the software overall was updated and be more computer friendly. Please Merge just make it more stable and not such a memory hog. I know I'm wishing for a lot considering they still haven't even fixed payout structures in tourneys yet...

Re: software crashes?

Happens to me at least once every session. Very frustrating. Never happened to me on Stars or Tilt.

Re: software crashes?

I am told that there are no known issues with the Merge client that may have caused an increase in software problems.

I would highly recommend sending in crash reports to the customer support team at Merge. These reports will be forwarded directly to the technical department, and if there are any issues that the Merge team is not aware of, they can be fixed as a matter of priority.

Re: software crashes?

Client uses up a lot of cpu usage on my laptop. Freezes up for 5-10 seconds every now and then, gets very annoying.

Re: software crashes?

^owned... If the amount of cpu the client used was lowered I could play more tables without **** freezing up all the time. It's a win win for both of us, I generate more rake for them and my hourly goes up. Also the wait list is very glitchy for me. I sometimes have to hit remove me from all waiting lists many times before it actually removes me from waiting lists. If i don't click accept waiting list in time it will take me to a full table where someone else took my spot. When this happens there should be a popup that says your wait lists for this table has expired and the table is already full. Both of these problems with the waiting lists tilt me and make it even harder to multi table effectively.

Re: software crashes?

I am having the client freeze up (playing Carbon a bunch of 6 man superturbos) even with just 4 windows up and everything else I usually use closed (RunBetterPoker, Holdemmanager, firefox), so I know it's not a memory problem

It has happened a lot this past week. WAY more so than usual. WTF merge?

It's not crashing per se, it's just freezing up (or "lagging") and nothing responds, and then after a bunch of seconds, all the tables come back up and you have 10 decisions to make, and you get sat out of some tables. It's very annoying

Re: software crashes?

I got a new PC with Windows 7 a couple months ago and I have never been able to have lock poker or cake run without the whole client freezing up and having to be restarted numerous times per session. I followed the instructions, for preventing technical issues, given earlier in the thread and it didn't help. I am wondering if Windows 7 is part of the issue. I also have a 4 year old Mac that can run lock and cake without freezing up. How can I fix this freezing problem on my new PC?
