looks like EVERYONE just disconected all at the same time for about 5 minutes just now, crazy, wonder if they give refunds, everyone blinded outta a bunch of turbo 6mans just now, crazy
11-07-2011 , 10:23 AM
wow man i thought it was my connection. i wasnt able to do anything, i had to close the client and when i tried to reopen it said something like the manifistation file cannot be retrived. this is really unfair as i was playing two dons at the time and luckily i had the chip lead in one so i was able to salvage but the other was 6 handed with the bb being 200 chips so i was blinded down to 3 bigs and was forced to shove k high. this is crazy

Software isses were very rare for me up until 4 days ago. I've had numerous times in the last few days where it freezes and I have to restart the client. I hope the software people have identified the problem and are working to fix it.

Welcome to post-BF online poker.

ok, because i thought it was just me. i emailed support, this is what they had to say:

Dear Andrew,

Thank you for contacting us.

In order for our software to run properly, you need to ensure you have the following requirements:

• High Internet connection.
• Have your Flash Player and Java updated to its latest version.
• Have your cookies and temporary Internet files deleted.

Also, we suggest that you don't use any internet-heavy applications while running our Poker Room (i.e. file sharing programs or web pages which display a lot of images/movies).

Another way to reduce the stress of the poker application is to minimize the main poker client window while playing in a tournament. Personal firewall, anti-virus, spyware or adware programs and general (internet) security settings may also affect your connection to our Poker Room.

i have dsl interenet, maybe thats the problem? otherwise, i just might have to move to a different site. crashes everyday and can't risk freezing up again when i actually have a hand in a big pot

Basically they just said their client sucks up a ****load of CPU memory (which it does). Full Tilt was kinda like this as well but not as bad.
11-08-2011 , 07:32 PM
man they told me the same thing, how the hell is it our fault when a ton of people went thru the same thing. hell 8 people on my table got booted out i can only imagine how many across the whole network. they told me it was my fault to so dont feel bad. they dont wanna own up to their faulty cliet and pay out a ton in refunds because they poor or something

I wish they would reinvest in their software. Doing so would allow games to run smoother, faster, and longer. That = more rake for them anyway. Plus, better software will attract more players which will sustain more games and make current ones go for longer periods of time which also = more rake.

Not really sure what's keeping them from such a novel concept in running a business.

If you're having problems with the software I would recommend contacting the support to see if your issue can be pinpointed.
11-09-2011 , 10:25 AM
contacting support is pointless, merge will never own up to its error. prolly avoiding a bad light cast on them and a bunch of reimbursements because a TON of people got ate up by blinds and what not.

Dear Melvin,

Thank you for contacting us.

Your case was already reviewed by our technical team and as previously informed there were no issues at our end. I am afraid that we can’t compensate or reimburse you for this situation.

I would like to recommend you to follow the instructions provided on the prior email in order to prevent technical issues.

We are always here to help you. Please feel free to reply to this email if you have any additional questions in relation to this or any other matter. Your reference ID for this email is LTK572013456833X; please quote this number in any further communication on this subject.

Kind regards,

I was having problems with the client freezing up yesterday. The only remedy was to close the client and restart. This happened several times. It's a pain in the ass.

That's my point. There aren't issues to be pinpointed. The RPM client is simply primitive compared to almost every site I've ever played online poker on except maybe tied with one (see bolded)...I've played on PartyPoker, PokerStars, Full Tilt, Pokerroom/Hollywood, Paradise, Absolute, Ultimate Bet, and WSEX.

Also, none of these sites' clients ever sucked up as much memory as RPM does in my experience.

yea merges client sucks up alot of memory. i think its so crazy how tons of people disconnect at the same time and merge has the nerve to tell me its not a problem on their end. like im a grown ass man you aint going to play me like im some stupid child. its whatever as soon ass legislation falls thru im leaving merge asap because that was the final straw

happened again while 8 tabling. when i restarted my computer and opened up the software, i was removed from all tables. is that normal?
11-10-2011 , 10:29 PM
get this all the time also... stays like that forever and have to restart or shutdown my computer..

11-11-2011 , 04:13 AM
I been getting crashes 3 times+ in a days grinding. Got a brand new comp too so I know it can't be my computer. Asked support what gives only thing he said was use less background programs running. I just want to know how many disconnect protects we get in a day lol. I wouldn't mind cus it takes only 3 secs to log back in but if I crash and lose hands or blinds I'll be more worried. Right now its just slightly annoying.

Probably. I can't even take a number two without getting kicked off all my tables by the time I get back. Makes no sense at all.

The software crashes and how much memory the Merge client is very frustrating and it would be nice if the software overall was updated and be more computer friendly. Please Merge just make it more stable and not such a memory hog. I know I'm wishing for a lot considering they still haven't even fixed payout structures in tourneys yet...
11-13-2011 , 12:12 AM
Happens to me at least once every session. Very frustrating. Never happened to me on Stars or Tilt.
11-14-2011 , 11:59 AM
I am told that there are no known issues with the Merge client that may have caused an increase in software problems.

I would highly recommend sending in crash reports to the customer support team at Merge. These reports will be forwarded directly to the technical department, and if there are any issues that the Merge team is not aware of, they can be fixed as a matter of priority.

Client uses up a lot of cpu usage on my laptop. Freezes up for 5-10 seconds every now and then, gets very annoying.
