I'm not sold on merge or on rpm - what reasons shoudl i play there.

also fire your web developer and hire someone who knows what they are doing, cuz rpmpoker.com looks like crap.

Haven't played there too much yet.. but just a few things:

Have the preferred seating option in the lobby somewhere, so I don't have to do it every time I sit at a new table.

Instead of raising an amount.. have it raise to an amount... If I'm in the bb, (say 10cents) and I want to raise it to 50 cents... I should type in .50.. not .40

And yeah.. the site can use some work...especially for people that use google chrome. Half of the site doesn't work for me on chrome.

Hi Seth,

I was considering opening an account on your site and noticed you don't accept players from Australia.

Could you please explain what are the laws you are referring to that prohibit his

Thanks for your help.

Hi Seth,

Is there an option to exclude the casino (not everyone has very strong will power!)?

Definately need to get a preferred seat option.

Also i cant seem to find anywhere to open the Tournament Lobby from the table once im sat, i have to go back into the Lobby and find the tourney to open it?

More tables per cash level.. having to sit on 4 waitlists to play, because those are the only tables at the level, isn't much fun.

Noted and taken into consideration, thank you.

Can we get an option to change the clock/times in the lobby?

I would like to try the merge network, but why should I choose RPM instead of carbon?

Please PM me rakeback/bonus/prop info...thanks!

Any update for Mac users?

Read about a Quick Launch menu in the software. Just joined today and couldn't find it, is it gone or am i n00bish.

Something else that takes a long time for me to get used to is the slider. If you click up you'd expect it to always increment 1bb, but this is not always the case.

It's under the news heading, to the right.

I have version 4.6.0, downloaded yesterday, and Quick Launch is not there.

My suggestions for the software based on my experience so far:

ALL "Do you want to close this window?" popup windows should have a "Don't ask this again" checkbox. The extra mouseclick to close the History window all the time is very annoying. Also it is annoying to have to open history to see mucked hands, but this is also the case at other poker sites.

Winning chance percentages all-in in the history window would be fun for each street, so you can see if you got your money in good based on the actual cards. (You should get your money in based on ranges but oh well at least this would be good fun)

I think the betting slider and buttons need an overhaul. The slider should only increment in big blinds when clicking right and decrement when left. The buttons are nice but a 3/4 button is missing. Also after clicking the button you also have to press Enter on the keyboard: this defeats the purpose of the button except for the amount calculation part. Having to use 2 devices, mouse and keyboard, to input something routine usually indicates a flawed user interface.

The possibility to tag players with icons for fish/shark/friend etc is fun. But he note window is clipped when you try to move it away from the table window, this is annoying if you want to view gameplay while writing a note. And it also prevents the possibility to keep the note window open.

Overall a positive experience, better looking than most software. And the waiting system is best: you can join waitinglist on all tables at your stake and when a table is ready you can unjoin all those waiting lists.

edit: don't want to sound arrogant, just trying to help improve but English is not my native language. I do have a CS degree, including user interface design, feel free to ask anything.

Finally figured it out, n00b me, if you use the 1/4 ...1/2...2x...8x etc buttons then the amount on the Raise button changes to what you chose and if you click that too that is what you bet. Still needs 2 clicks but no keyboard needed anymore, good.

No real news to speak of, the Mac client is still in development. You'll know as soon as we're ready to roll!

I played around with it a little bit for the first time last night, and I'm sure some of these points have been mentioned already, but here is what I would like to see worked on.

-A feature that remembers your preferred seating. It is rather annoying to have to set it each time you sit down at a table.

-Make the amount you enter equal the total size of the bet or raise. The major sites (Full Tilt and Stars) do it this way, and I think it would make the transition to a smaller site like this much easier.

-While playing in a tournament, when you click the lobby button, it takes you back to the main lobby. I couldn't find an easy way to get the tournament lobby for the game I was in, straight from the game.

-Cash game sorting, when I choose to sort the games by stakes (I assume this is what most people do), it would be nice to have the games sub-sorted by type of game (HU, 6max, FR) and then the number of seats filled in each. It appears to be completely random at the moment, with play money games sporadically mixed in as well.

Thanks for listening

Mgodd, thank you for your feedback. These are things we have also been lobbying for. Good to know that you (and presumably others) feel the same way.

RPM poker could distinguish itself pretty easily with a decent hand history reviewing tool, I for one would be very pleased with it. It is something the other poker sites are also bad at at the moment. The History tool as it is now is not very usable for session reviews, you'd have to look through every hand. What you want is a table with 4 columns: gameno/starttime; cards; amount won/lost; link, where the link takes you to the hand history. Would love it.

Is there any way to view average stack size when in a tournament? If there is, I can't figure out how to do it. I think this is something that would be pretty crucial to add, if it's not there already.

Here is a suggestion.... Turn the doom switch off me so i can play at your tables..... Every hand someone hits a miracle.... i am glad i dont play high volume at your site because i would be broke.... i get called all in preflop with aa or kk and a lower pair hits everytime... miracle gutshots hit..... ill keep my business with pokerstars

Coming from stars, my RPM experience so far after a couple weeks is okay. The software is positive overall.

Based on my little experience so far there seem to be a lot more loose players, which is a plus.

What is not okay is the hand history reviewer, there is no readable HH available for use in forums, so its very hard to review sessions or store interesting hands etc.

The main problem however is the small user base. When I play there are only about 3k players online, give or take 1k. It is still possible to join a ringgame table at the stakes I want, without having to wait too long. But the small userbase, like less than 2% of stars, is worrysome. Makes you wonder how long the Merge network will still be there.

It is very surprising since their rake is lower for uNL and small stakes, because of the rakeback. This doesn't attract much more players, so it seems that many are just uninformed. Maybe they dont realize it, or maybe they dont care. Show them how much rake people pay on sites like stars, like in the order of magnitude of $500 when playing 15k hands at 50NL. Perhaps they will care then.

The market just doesnt seem to work for pokersites. All sites take a comparable high 5%rake, aiming for much too much profit. Cartels in pokerland? Why can't Merge go down to just 2% rake and attract all players already.

Most players don't pay enough attention to rake that dropping the rake is going to increase the player pool. Sites like wpex had 100% rakeback for awhile.. then 75%.. and they are really struggling for players. It's all about name brand and marketing... attract the fish and big player pools will follow.

Sometimes I want to click on the Fold Checkbox, but miss it, because the real Fold Button has appeared in the meantime, annoying!

The Fold checkbox and the Fold button should have an overlapping positioning.
