I suppose it depends what happens, but when Merge skins have closed in the past $$ balances have been transferred over to w/e skin you switch to but tournament tickets, points, etc are all lost

software doesn't let me log in as of an hour ago or so. wish they gave us some sort of notice ahead of time, but i guess with the way things have been going this was bound to happen sooner or later

I got this also just now when I tried to log into RPM. So if you guys were to create an account which one of the 3 options would you take?

I remember when Big Bet went out of business 2 years ago, they gave everybody a 4 week heads-up, so you could cash in on your remaining points and cash out. Personally, I don´t think RPM is shady like Feltstars or the like, so let´s see.

I´ll take a wait and see approach and understand that´s a business decision by Seth and Jon to sell, I have no problem with it. But if RPM/Merge stiffs me out of around 900 $ in value without giving me any notice upfront, I´m definitely changing networks.

Jin^ i got 100k points on RPM and this is gonna ruin my f'ing Sunday if they screw me.

Anyway im not sure which of the 3 skins to go too? Do any of them have p2p transfers.?
Which one is best for cashouts?

I tried to send an email to support but when I clicked send I got a pop up saying the email didn't exist because of the eu. Has anyone else tried to email support.

Wow this sucks, but was kinda expecting something to happen with RPM considering the rumors lately, the sudden pulling out of Poker Maximus, etc.

After a brief client update, I got the following message:

Quote:
RPMPoker has been purchased by a third party. Your funds are safe and you will be playing poker shortly.

If you have another account on the Merge network, please advise support@mergaming.eu and we will have your RPM Poker balance moved there.

If not, please choose a Merge preferred partner and follow the steps outlined below:

http://www.mergaming.ocm/preferred-partners.html

See you at the tables!
See what happens when I take a month off? The skin has to close up shop!

I assume that you don't have to sign up a new account at those three particular skins -- it says they are preferred not mandatory. But I would also guess that the process of migrating might be smoother if you use one of those skins. From what I've researched, I think Hero would be a good choice.

That would suck for a lot of people if they don't honor VIP Points or Levels on your new skin. It would probably be wise to inquire which new skin might do this (for those with large points balances) and migrate there.

RIP RPMPOker I hope they do join WPN the increased traffic would be awesome

BLEH hoping for another site shutdown rungood and my balance will show up on Carbon here shortly. Sucky MTT Merge regs are safe this weekend.

Based on the speculation when Merge stopped the P2P transfers I think the best bet would be to open up an account with Carbon rather than another skin.

They did not swap networks. All the players will remain on Merge.

Actually, some accounts have already been swapped! It appears Merge has allocated some extra staff this time! There is a thread in the Internet Poker forum HERE

I guess my research was a bit outdated. Looks like Hero is next in line to close down.

Do we have the option to get rakeback on Carbon? I had rakeback on RPM but not on Carbon. Am I stuck with the VIP system? Anyone know?

Dave has been absent from the Official Hero Thread for a while. I haven't seen him on Skype since just before PMIII either.

Hopefully all is well with him!!

yes you can. just email them and tell them you were an RPM player who had rakeback and they will transfer it to your Carbon account.

Carbon.
No... Merge did away with p2p transfers
Carbon seems the most promising at the moment.
