RPM a Great Choice RPM a Great Choice

I am from Full Tilt, and have always played on Full Tilt. I was very upset like most with the recent events. I started searching for an alternative to Full Tilt, and ran across this forum. After reading the great things people said about their support I decided to give them a try.

I downloaded the software, and contacted RPM Seth to ask about rakeback & bonuses. He promptly responded, and set my account up within a couple of hours of my request for these two things.

The deposit options on RPM as few and far between. I decided to send make a deposit through Western Union, which went very smooth. Once i made my deposit I went home, and put my WU code in. Within an hour RPM had my money on my account for me to play with.

The software is very different than Full Tilt. I am used to having my avatar in the middle, which makes it easier to follow the action for me. After a couple of hours of playing it became a little bit easier to follow. I will eventually get fully used to it, and be playing 6 tables again.

There is lots of action in cash games. There are a bunch of tables running, so it is easy to find one. I found the tables to be a lot softer than Full Tilt. We will see how it goes this week. I do not play sit n go's or tournaments, so i cannot speak in regards to them, but it looked like there were plenty of them running.

I just wanted to write this to assure that anyone looking for an alternative RPM is the way to go. Hopefully, there will be a lot of people sign up, so there is even more action to be had.

Good Luck Everyone.

I've been playing on RPM for exactly a week now, coming over from Stars and Full Tilt. I love the graphics, and I am pretty comfortable with the software after a few days. I only play a 1-3 tables at a time at small to med. stakes so it is fine for me. I had a few dealings with cust. service and they were helpful and courteous, especially Seth. I would reccommend the site as a good place to play. The only way I could deposit was using Western Union, but it went through easily with no problems. Don't know about cash outs yet.

If you use Poker Tracker and you have a preferred seat setup on Merge, you will need to adjust the settings. Seat position must be set . It starts with "0" on the left hand side and counts up as you work clockwise around the table. Seat "7" is at the bottom on a 9 handed table. Also, cannot use the grid setup.

After reading a number of posts about different options for US players, I concluded that RPM Poker is getting the most positive and least negative feedback. So, I signed up and used Western Union to make a deposit.

If you register at WU online first and they cannot verify your information, you'll receive a 50% off coupon for use at a local WU office. I was lucky enough for that to happen, and the WU transaction only cost $6. The deposit was approved within two minutes of my entering the WU confirmation number.

The software is very appealing to the eye, and there are many different ways you can customize the room and table. Traffic is much lower than FTP or PS, as you would expect, but there are still a lot of games going on. I'm just getting my feet wet right now, so it's premature to comment on the relative softness of the play.

Don't forget to get a rakeback code and enter it. However, I think RPMSeth can hook you up after the fact. I'm not sure about that, and I'm too new to this site to PM him.

One suggestion for RPM: please add a time bank like at PS so that we don't time out making difficult decisions.
