I don't understand how the maximus leaderboard works. That point calculator is way off on the website. I was using event #2 as an ex. and put in 2361 players, $100 BI and 1st place finish and it says like 730 points, but the winner of the thing only got like 40 at the end of day 1.

Won a $215 ticket, but looks like times won't work out for me to play in any Maximus events. Are there any other tournies to use this with or will it expire after Poker Maximus ends?

Nice. Looks like possibility of later events getting bumped up higher too.

Had a feeling they would bump the guarantees, since the prizepools have been double the guarantee anyway in a lot of these.

Like I said in Carbon's thread, with these upped guarantees you'll need to:

1.) Up the Mini Main event guarantee since it will look pitiful compared to these.

2.) Ditto for the HU event.

3.) Update your adverting banners to note that there is now $2 Million guaranteed (and if there's not by this point, it's gotta be so close you may as well make it happen). I'm sure all the skins will be doing this, so whatever skin does it first will probably have a huge advantage in roping in new players.

There's too many Turbo 5 minute blind structure games in the Poker Minimus. Merge can be really *********** annoying!

Still don't understand how Merge doesn't get that the mainstream players prefer non turbo non rebuy tournaments.

the structures for the poker maxims, the 15 and 20 min ones are epically awesome, i mean theres just so much play involved, even 3-4 hrs in you are deepstacked. RPM MUST make 20 min blind tourneys more often, like on a reg basis and reward good players. The gambling junkies love the 5min blinds tho :-(

I'm pissed I bought in for the $11 event 32. It isn't listed as a shorthand tourney. I do not play sh tourneys. I would not have paid the buy-in if I knew it was a sh tourney. Merge just ripped me off of a buy-in.

Did I say that I am really pissed.

I am very much enjoying the shorthanded event with 9 man tables.
