Does Merge/RPM covers bounced check fees?
If a check bounces Merge/RPM should do everything possible to get you a replacement check in less than a week. This is a must.
What is the policy?

why are the checks bouncing? when you closed down the merge withdrawal thread, you said that it was because the thread had turned into a place for "speculation and rumour" there was some of that, but not enough to shut down the thread. although you say "we're not interested in censoring anybody's opinion", it has the appearance that you are interested in censoring peoples opinion. i don't understand why you said "we're not interested", anyway. you shut down the thread. there wasn't anyone else who shut it down. you said so yourself, "ok guys, i'm closing this thread."
you've said repeatedly that our "money is safe". but when checks are bouncing and there are long delays, then clearly our money isn't safe. the merge withdrawal thread was one of the few options that people who were experiencing difficulties withdrawing had to verbalize their concerns and ask questions of others. if a poster is spreading rumour or conjecture, then delete their threads. that's legitimate. i support that. but not the whole thread; that makes it appear that you're ill at ease with the topic, and being heavy handed.

Re: OFFICIAL RPM POKER REGULARS THREAD
Anybody want to help me get money off RPM Poker (up to $1600)? I will pay vig and will take Netspend, Greendot, BOA transfer, or maybe a different method I haven't thought of. PM me if interested.

Yes, we will cover any bounced check fee, and we absolutely do as best as we can do get another check out to you immediately.

Merge does RPM's processing... it's not like RPM Seth can make your check go faster, and he doesn't actually have information from payment processors because RPM is a step removed from this, so yeah, I can see why RPM is ill at ease with the topic if there's no real way for them to answer questions about the process, or if there is no news from processors. RPM always comes out with information when they are ready, but they just aren't speculating on things without having full answers to their questions.
If your check bounces (I've had this happen once in 3 years), the money goes back into your account and then you get put back in front of the withdrawal line. It's a pain in the ass, but you always get taken care of as long as you talk to support. These things happen and it's not actually RPM's fault, but they have to deal with the fallout, and in my experience they have always done it well.
Processing got 500 times harder for sites to do and Merge doubled (or tripled) in size since Black Friday. Put all of that together and there are going to be problems... I'm just happy that there's somebody from RPM to talk to about my money. I've been playing on RPM for almost 3 years now and not once has there been a question of the safety of my funds, and I will go out on a limb to say that I have a larger balance on Merge than most.
Anyway, the point is that I have never seen RPM not handle an issue in the right way, and I'm generally not a fan of the RPM bashing when there's finally a poker room that seems to actually give a **** about their players.

Fact? I said they should do this.
As you can see above Seth says "we absolutely do as best as we can do get another check out to you immediately."
What their best is I don't know. I do know we all want better than their best. Since Santa Claus is not busy this time of year maybe they can make a deal with him. He can deliver anything anywhere and I also hear he is very fast!

thanks for your thoughtful response. although i mentioned checks in my note, my letter is really more about censorship. i haven't actually requested a check. got to admit though, bounced checks cause consternation on my part, no matter who i'm dealing with. i recognize all the good things your talking about, that's why i'm playing on rpm. i just feel that in this case seth is not at his normal standard of open communication. i actually appreciate it when he deletes bs posts that are nothing more than rumour mongering. i hate sifting through that stuff. thanks though

seth just tell us how long you think until the checks are back to being mailed in under 3 weeks? also IS there another way e-wallet that we can use? or an idea on the time frame UMW is going to be up again?

Get ready for another vague answer, but when we know, you'll know.
I'd say most checks are taking 4-6 weeks now, and Merge is working hard to cut down delays and bring cashouts back to their originally quoted time frames.

Re: OFFICIAL RPM POKER REGULARS THREAD
RPM has been a great site to play on and I have really appreciated all the hard work from Seth and the rest of the team. There is no question that RPM is the best option for USA players. However, after UMW and the recent TruePoker incident I dont trust having more than what I can afford to lose on the site.
Cashed out some today- Hoping 4-6 weeks is correct and that there wont be any problems with a bounced check.

Re: OFFICIAL RPM POKER REGULARS THREAD
pre-UIGEA: w/d's took seconds and minutes
pre-Black Friday: w/d's took days and sometimes weeks
post-Black Friday: Don't be surprised if w/d's take weeks and months in the worst cases.
It's just the way it is, be prepared for the worst and hope for the best imo.
