Ladies and Gentlemen, merge on trying to get me to quit multiple times

Gogogogogo people, I dont wanna be the only one again

IHOP: How many tables? Were you shortstacking? I was -15bb/100 shortstacking the $4 game over 1500 hands. At that rate, I'd be down $60 to win a $109 entry. $49 for 8 hours of mind-numbing... no, mind-destroying grinding is just not worth it. I had to quit.

Besides, I won one of the $11 sat's so I have my seat for next weak anyway
11-14-2011 , 07:27 PM
18 tables for most of it, but there were times when I had to close tables when they became 3handed or HU. I played 10 or less for the last 1K hands. 8 hours total again. I always have autotop on, shortstacking is not something I would be good at. I like to see alot of flops.
11-14-2011 , 10:05 PM
getting ready to make the final push 2100 hands 2 hours 55 mins to do it in...
11-14-2011 , 10:14 PM

and the software didn't crash once wtf

11-14-2011 , 10:39 PM

Went on tilt around hand 6k and stopped caring any more am not gonna say this was easy

Too bad you cannot sell the ticket. Would be quite profitable for a 4nl player.

How much did you guys pay in rake?
11-15-2011 , 02:41 AM
I paid 11.42$
11-15-2011 , 04:07 AM
holy ****... never doing this again, def not worth the 7 hours of 18 tableing
almost quit like half way thru but cryingly convinced myself to continue

started playing some 10NL and 25NL for the first 5k hands (18 tables total) then felt tired/lazy and saw my play getting worst so moved down to 4NL lol... but i payed like a total of like $55 in rake
11-15-2011 , 05:16 AM
I've played 8k hands before but I was used to playing 1-1.5k hands each day, 3-5k hands occasionally. I need to build up my br a little for this.

im looking forward to doing this next monday (wish i coulda got into the 100k this weekend) whats the minimum you think i shoulda deposit to grind this on 4NL? I was a 25-50NL grinder on rush ftp for higher volume than this
11-16-2011 , 02:02 PM
atleast 50 bucks 100 to be safe but you can prob get away w/ less if you add limit tables

if ur only planning on grinding 4NL u dont need a super big br for this challenge (considering if decently good)

id say $100 is prob enough... but i might have a bigger one if u r not use to 18 tableing for 7 hours profitably

but gl man... its not easy

It depends on how many tables you are going to be playing. I'd want at least 6 BIs more than the number of tables you plan to play. I'd say 10 BIs would definitely be enough to avoid having your entire roll on the tables at once and having your stack fall below 100bb on one or more tables which would cause me to tilt lol.

Put your grinding gear on ladies and gents, its time for another whirl tomorrow.

won 2 tourneys today, ok 1 of them just had 4 players.($267 for the two) I probably will give it a try tomorrow and see how I start off. I haven't played much cash since stars, have been just playing tourneys. I consistently played 14-16 tables at 25nl and 50nl at stars but that was April. We'll see how things start off. If I feel a little overwhelmed I may just focus at playing solid poker for the week then give it a go next week.
