This could be the reason. I didn't use their service for some years, and I'm guessing since I haven't updated my e-mail address I never got the e-mail telling me that since I live in the land of the free that I cannot use their service anymore! Such a shame.

Indeed. I was lucky enough to be able to get a UMW invite for deposits. But it sucks for withdrawals.

I deposited through WU online last night and was approved within an hour. RPMSeth is very helpful too.

I've had a click2pay account since back when stars use to take click2pay/moneygram. Fwiw when I joined Merge I tried to deposit via click2pay and it was denied. (Yes I'm American)

Just uploaded $100 in 2secs from my credit union.

Had originally used my bigger bank card and got snap denied.

I thought I saw that using WU on line could be an issue but when I was chatting with CS he said the online or live WU works just as well.
Anyone use WU online?

Yes - 1st one - I had done several transfers with UMW in the past between Cake/Tilt/RPM.

I had considered it until I realized the fee was 3x as compared to doing it in person from a WU outlet at the grocery store., which makes no sense since a human would not be involved in the online transaction and woul dbe at the store. I guess you are paying for the convenience of not having to go. Other than that, I don't think there would be a difference.

Just thought I would post to say that I failed 2x with visa, so today I put 1K in via WU and had no issues and it was approved in about 5 minutes after I put in the WU code in the cashier at RPM. At first I felt it a bit sketchy sending some random dude on one of the islands 1K, but all went well. I will update once I try cashing out.

Could be (if using a credit, or maybe even debit too idk, card) a cash advance fee. Which I have heard some say is imposed with doing the WU transfer online.

So anyone know how much $1k deposit fee is for western union online compared to in person? Didn't realize there was a difference in fees until I read some of the above posts.

I'm assuming the $15 fee is in person.

Just got back from Western Union at the grocery store. Put in the transaction code and had my first deposit in within 3 minutes.

Nice.

Cash deposit. Put in the amount you want to deposit and they'll give you instructions.

There is no WU deposit option for me to click on. There is Cash Transfer, but i just called the grocery store where the WU is, and they said that Cash Transfer and WU are not the same. I'm so confused here.
05-05-2011 , 09:55 PM
Cash Transfer I meant. They'll tell you "who" to send the money transfer to. I doubt the clerk at the Western Union will know why you're sending funds to the some random person in the Philippines. You're not sending it to "RPMPoker", just fyi. Mods remove my post if there's too much detail. If it's alright, I don't mind typing out exactly what happens. The fact that I couldn't find details leads me to believe it's not really spelled out for people.

The way I see it, the easier it is, the more people will play on RPM.

Just opened a WU online account. Now they're asking to "Verify Your Identity - One Time Process" They're going to give me a 4 digit code by phone....suppose to be same day (today). How long does this usually take ?
