I'm glad you were able to deposit online, but why are you glad that someone in the Philippines has one less work opportunity?

i made a western union deposit to rpm yesterday, but i'm thinking something is wrong. i saw where other posters indicated that as soon as they typed in their mtcn they were playing immediately. i'm still not playing. i emailed rpm seth and he asked me to be patient if it wa western union. but when i look under "pending transactions" there are none. under "transaction history" it says "manual approval required". ???? i'm thinking something is wrong since other posters have said they were playing immediately. any suggestions? i guess i'll email support again.

My debit card didn't work and the Live Chat has said that I'm customer #1 in queue for the past half hour (and stealing focus with their lame reminder every minute that I'm next for the last half hour). So where is this great support I'm reading about? Are you all a bunch of shills? Someone prove with screenshots how great this shizzle is or I call shenenigans and ask for proof from the management here at 2+2 of this wonderful service. Or accuse the management of being whores. Either one.

WU noob question. Is there a real WU branch I am supposed to use to make a transfer or can the WU be a part of another business? There is a Safeway within walking distance of my work that has a WU in their customer service section. That should work right??
04-25-2011 , 02:03 AM
yea that should work

there are two areas to click on support. one works almost instantly and the other gives the results you got. try this, from their homepage, click on support. then in the upper right hand corner of the support page, click live chat. that one put me in touch almost instantly.

email this person i f that doesn't work, seth at rpmpoker.com. i can guarantee he'll try to help you.

good luck

"Thanks for coming by..we'll be in touch asap !"

I'll be by with my money asa i ****ing feel like it, if ever.

Just wanted to chime in and verify that you can indeed use WU online to deposit with RPM. Make sure to be very very careful that you enter all details EXACTLY, or you could have problems.
But, on the plus side, the support chat feature is great and in my experience very helpful. My first attempt I copy/pasted the MTCN (or whatever) and somehow managed to chop off a digit, so I had to sit around for 3 hours wondering what the heck went wrong until the chat service was available.
I started off at #3 on the queue and it took a good 45 mins, but just as I was starting to think nobody was actually getting serviced and were just giving up I got a person on the line. I just had to verify the WU transfer info and they were able to add the last digit and even made sure I got my rakeback and full deposit bonus.
And MAKE SURE you check the "receive in USD" box when going through the WU online process, by default it will convert to their local currency as that's where a lot of WU's profit lies. Also, if you go back to review your info, it seems to reset itself so make sure to check the USD box again if you're looking it over.
All in all it wasn't too bad, not as easy as Echecks obv, but hey, I'm playing again!

See you on the felt!

+1, I got the one that had me waiting quite a while and while waiting I read this and went to live help from the homepage and got someone almost instantly. Also, want to add that I did W/U online and within minutes the moneys on my account! WooHoo! Good ridance Spider Solitaire, hello POKER!

Finally gave up on waiting for p2p transfer.

Ok so the Visa that's connected to my checking account keeps getting declined, and I remember hearing something about buying pre paid VISA's that are approved for international purchases???

I'd rather not jack with UMW or WU, I'm hoping to make the VISA option work.

Just want to report that I used WU this afternoon with no problems at all. When I got home and entered the code the money hit my account within five minutes. Very easy process.

Deposited via Western Union today. Just want to reinterate to make sure you tell the WU rep to put the money in US dollars. Mine was defaulted to phillipine pesos and I had to go through a whole process to get the money back and resend the correct currency.

After things were sorted out though, it worked very well and was very quick.

I did my first WU today, it went smoothly. I put USD after the amount I wanted to send and that seems to be the key to getting it sent in dollars. I also told the clerk to put it in dollars and she said she knew because of the USD.

+1 to WU. Cleared within a few minutes after putting in MTCN.

Do yourself a favor and spend 30 seconds verifying that you and the agent you're with followed the directions several times. The guy who was helping me had a typo in the name.

The WU online process is pretty simple - there is a check box for the correct currency. Takes a bit to set up the account but once done, it's almost as simple as a straight VISA deposit from the old days. $12 fee, no trip to the grocery store and dealing with the clerk, etc. Had no issues, cleared within 10.

Cheers

here's my western union story. after reading several posts where players had the $ in their accounts within minutes of entering their mtcn, i realized yesterday that my deposit hadn't been picked up yet by rpm. still this am a message on the wu page that says it hadn't been picked up. so i've gone ahead and cancelled that deposit. several posts to support during all this that weren't very helpful at all. rpm seth responded to my inquiry promptly, but this isn't his area so he couldn't really help. so now i'm going to start the whole process all over. i still think that rpm is the place to be playing online poker from what i've read. just too many good things i've read about the site to give up this easy. i don't mind saying though i'm getting worn out trying to deposit. i'm out $12 transfer fee and i'll have driven a total of 50 miles by the time i pick up my attempted deposit and then try again. i'll keep you guys posted.

eureka! success. i don't know what happened with my first wu attempt, but the second try went though in seconds. i wish i knew what the problem was if for no other reason than to try and spare someone else the hassle i've gone through trying to deposit the first time. can't wait to play again.

For anyone looking to deposit on rpm i was able to use western union online to deposit the fee seemed a little higher than in person to use the transfer in minutes option but it was fairly quick.

1. go to western union online and make an account
2. go to send your rpm cashier and open it and put deposit with cash transfer
3. go to where it says transfer to person , enter the info and name rpm gives you and it will have a place to check send in us dollars obv chec kthat.
enter your debit card info and complete.
4. go to rpm cashier and your money control number they give you and you should have funds in 15 mins

I've read a couple of different things about this. One person said they were told that they had to have made a deposit prior to getting an invite. Another said support made no such stipulation.

Personally, I've made a deposit prior to The Demise so support gave me an invite no questions asked.

As far as being the quickest, I would imagine that this is true. However, there's a premium to be paid. QuickTender/UMW charges a $30 fee to go from the wallet to your bank account, while RPM will charge you $15 for a check. QT/UMW, I believe, sends out their withdrawals via Bank Wire (I may have misread this on their site) and your personal bank may or may not charge a fee for an incoming wire.
