Merge Security e-mail error Merge Security e-mail error

I sent an email inquiry on how to verify my account so I can do player to player transfers as well as cash out. In response, they sent me some random persons complete information including credit card, security code, home address, and other personal information. They want me to send my information so I can cashout, but why the hell would I send my info after I they forwarded me that information. I want to cash out, how can I verify my account some other way?

So they just completely randomly sent you 1 persons, or multiple? personal info when they were suppose to send you the verification forms?

Pretty epic fail if true- but still in order to cashout you must fillout the papers and prove YOUR identity to the site, and trust your info will be confidential.

Wow, that is horrible. I hope it wasn't my info.

I have read that they accept documents with crucial information obscured, i.e. a copy of your credit card with most of the numbers blacked-out, a bank statement with your account number crossed-out, etc. (You can double-check on this with support.)

Afaik, you will have to give your address so they will have somewhere to mail a check.

Just for my piece of mind, would you post the initials of the persons' info that you mistakenly received?

I will not use or post any of the info I recieved, but if I was a creep I could go on a shopping spree, so this is a serious issue.

I will be deleting the email once it is brought to the attention of the staff

I have PM'ed you so that we can involve Merge Security to ensure that this does not happen in the future.

To avoid sending your documents in there is an available file upload option in player admin.

I have talked about the situation with Jon. The situation is unacceptable, but I believe they have handled it to the best of their ability. It was an employee error, and I believe they have done everything in their power to resolve the situation appropriately. The person whose information was accidently forwarded to me was contacted and appropriate steps have been taken.

While this should not ever happen, it is a security error which happens in a lot of different businesses, and I still believe RPM to have tremendous customer service. The speed of response did impress me, and I wish all poker sites had the same service.

To reiterate what the OP has posted above, we have not taken this error lightly. Both parties were contacted as soon as the email was sent out to avoid any additional issues that may have arisen.

Please keep in mind that you can upload verification documents without sending an email by visiting player admin and clicking player admin on the left.
