The Merge Network is changing their rakeback policy effective June 1st. Players who sign up at RPM Poker AFTER June 1, 2011 will no longer be eligible for rakeback, and instead will be rewarded for their play via our new VIP scheme which will be announced in due course.

If you'd like to receive rakeback and do not have it, we encourage you to sign up to RPM Poker BEFORE June 1st. If you are an existing user and you would like to receive rakeback, please PM me with your RPM Poker username. If you have not yet signed up for an account and would like to receive rakeback, please PM me for further details.

IF YOU HAVE RAKEBACK ELSEWHERE and you would like to sign up with RPM Poker, we can accommodate you. The normal network rules apply here. This means that if you have an active rakeback account on another Merge Network skin, you will need to be inactive on that account for 60 days. If you are inactive for 60 days, we will be able to add rakeback to your account on RPM Poker when that time is up. To take advantage of this, you must sign up at RPM Poker before June 1st.

ALL EXISTING RAKEBACK PLAYERS WILL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE RAKEBACK. This shift in policy across the network only affects users who sign up after June 1st. If you have an active rakeback account with RPM Poker, you will be grandfathered in - meaning your rakeback deal will not disappear - and absolutely nothing will change for you when June 1st comes around. I'd also like to stress that all of our users will continue to be taken care of moving forward, so please rest assured that if you are an existing RPM Poker player with rakeback, nothing is changing for you.

Tangentially, we apologize for the lack of clarity on this issue today as this news was leaked by another Merge network skin from an internal network memo. We pride ourselves on our open communication with our players, and we ask that you continue to wait for official releases on news items such as this, especially when important information is leaked without details.

Just to re-iterate, players with existing accounts will continue to receive rakeback on their accounts. This change only affects new accounts that sign up at RPM Poker after June 1st.

And: What is the max rake for HU games? please say 50c (like pokerstars/ftp). If >50c, do you guys plan to change it to 50c?

I'm currently playing without rakeback at another merge skin. Will I be able to join + get RB at RPM before the deadline or does the 60 day exclusion for changing sites for RB prevent me (maybe that only applies to players that already have RB)? Does it depend on whether I've deposited on the other skin? Thanks.

If I just make the account now and make a deposit later (after June 1) do I get rakeback or do I have to make the deposit now?

As long as you sign up now and enable your rakeback with us before June 1, you'll have rakeback.

I know you guys said it is still a little early and you guys dont have the full details yet. But this new Rakeback Policy, do you think it will be a positive/negative impact for the players (existing players and players who sign up after June 1st).

This. I JUST signed up and deposited w/rb on another Merge skin, but I was planning on trying RPM later. I would still like to try RPM, but I will definitely want rb, so will I still be able to get rb with RPM, and if so, what do I have to do to get it? Sign up w/rb, or sign up w/rb and deposit?

Hi guys, just a note that I'm not ignoring that question. I'm looking for some clarification from Merge before I give you a final answer.

That said, I'm not entirely sure that we will be able to add rakeback to players who are trying to wait out the 60 days. I'll obviously do my best for everybody, so sit tight while I receive some confirmation on this.

I gotta admit, RPMSeth does everything he can to make things happen.

I hope it's a good answer. I've heard nothing but good things about RPM but giving up rakeback will make it impossible to play there.

What about Australian players as there are rumours a number of skins are going to be opening to Australians.

RPM Poker does not accept Australian customers at present. Anything you've heard is baseless rumor!

For existing members, can we switch to the VIP scheme if we feel its more +EV?

If that is your choice, we will be able to accommodate you, yes.
