Late Registration Table Issue(Resolved) Late Registration Table Issue(Resolved)

I joined this tourney 3 minutes after it started and not even the Go To My table link worked (it gave me an error message). Eventually I relaunched and was seated immediately.

I don't know if this is RPM or Merge's fault. Either way, it's pathetic.

This is not an error on either side. If you register late you are seated at a late registration table and are not blinded out. In some cases it can take several minutes for these tables to populate.

If this happened at any other site with late registration, I would accept that answer. It doesn't (even in smaller tournies...let along ones with over 1000 players). And I don't.

Also would have to be an unlikely (admittedly not impossible) coincidence that I waited seven minutes and got seated immediately upon rebooting.

This can happen in larger tournaments such as the Sunday tournaments and Poker Maximus tournaments. It is not common in all tournaments.

That's not true. It's common in EVERY tournament.

The way they break and re-group tables is incredibly inefficient compared to the way it should be done. In other words, while any decent site makes the breaking and re-grouping completely seamless and balanced in a way that doesn't end up with me playing 3-handed while the rest of the field is playing 9-handed EVER, Merge does.

I said it before and I'll say it again: Tell management to take a look at PokerStars and mimic them in every way, shape, and form imaginable, because it's 2012, and the way this site is run in several aspects is straight up embarrassing.

In case it isn't obvious, I am not the one who marked this thread "resolved".

I will not consider this matter "resolved" unless and until I get some assurance that I will not again have to wait seven minutes to get seated for an MTT like I did this one.

^ If there are 9 players at every table and you register, how do you expect to get seated at table with 9 players ? think about it. the system needs to wait for 8more entrants or enough to bust out to even them off.

no it doesn't. it's supposed to re-balance the tables immediately like every normal site does. you're not supposed to sit there at a table and do nothing, or play 4-handed while the rest of the tournament tables have 8-9 players, you're supposed to be seated right away and all tables should have 8 or 9 players. if there are 9 players at every table and he registers, 8 tables should drop to 8 players and the 9th should be full, the rest untouched. and it should all happen seamlessly.

If the answer isn't obvious enough, you make this statement while every other site that has late registration does not have this problem. How do you explain that?
