Hi everybody,

If you haven't seen it already, I'd like to bring the bad beat jackpot to your attention. It's approaching $900,000 quickly!

There is a feed on the RPM Poker homepage that shows the size of the bad beat jackpot on Merge.

Good luck!

Would love to have a % swap like 20% on any type of cash for BBJ(whether they are the official winner or loser of hand or just sitting on table) with someone or maybe multiple ppl?.

Im willing to 8-10 table and would want that person to obv match my tables and agree on a time and maybe go for 5 hrs.

Mark - And you are just going to go on the honor system? Just hope they come through and toss the $20k or whatever your way when they win?

Not a good idea.

^ i guess ur right. or would be cool if merge can force them to give it up if its in writing on a public forum agreeing to a % split.

I'd be interested in knowing if Merge could allow different methods or amounts for withdrawal to get off large sums like this. Right now my only method is a $2500 check, and ermm...that's a lot of 2500s.

i was going to say the same thing.

Better yet - cancel the jackpot completely.

In doing so, this will allow you to cancel the $15.00 fee for check withdrawals, and hire more staff so I can get my withdrawal within a week....

I'd be a happier customer than I currently am.

In the end, the jackpot only affects a few....while my proposal above would benefit ALL. (think of the scene in harold and kumar - laptop vs direction cheetah took them....LOL)

A US player - a 2+2 member - has already cashed out six figures from the Merge BBJ and was successfully able to cash out in two or three payments iirc. I don't remember his screen name, but he posted about it more than once somewhere here in the internet poker forums.

thanks^^ hey was just thinking, if you are playing on a 1/2 $ game with not enough people to qualify for the BBJ you are paying 50c per pot, that is a LOT of money, especialy in the limit games... why would say 2 players hu be paying to a BBJ where they literally have NO SHOT to win it? sounds and is very unfair imo

I like the fact that merge takes 10% of BBJ when it hits (on top of rake), $100k to Merge for bad beat getting hit.........

I was sitting at the table that hit the bad beat jackpot, $1- $2 9-max limit hold'em table. We had 9 players. Two players in the hand, one guy with pocket queens, the other guy had pocket sevens. Flop was 7QQ, turn was a 7, river I forgot. So quad queens over quad sevens. The loser got $377K +, winner got
$177K + and the other seven of us got $25K + They left $200K in the jackpot
I haven't inquired yet about cashing out any large amounts. But did request the standard $2500 check.

Just out of curiosity do you believe this is abnormal for a bad beat jackpot, and that is why you keep posting it?

I've never seen a site take BBJ rake if there's not enough players at the table
