I much preferred taking the five minutes a month to opt-in eight different times for juicier/easier promos. But like someone else said, better than nothing I suppose.
More double-points days are generally juicier than the other promotions...unless you are an NL4 player or something I guess.
Don't understand the complaining. I think more double-points days is pretty awesome. Way way more value than some lame "play 2000 hands and get $10" (or satty tourney ticket or whatever) type of nonsense. But again, the value is certainly going to be different at NL4 level where earning the $10 actually becomes a bigger deal.
Seriously, you guys aren't getting way better value out of double points? Because I know I am.
yeah^ lol complain about a site giving FREE stuff out, that they dont even have to do, ur getting mega value on points+ cash if ur lucky enough to get quads, and ur over here hating? lol
I wouldn't call anything free. Nothing is free in life. There is always a cost. Still remember the economics professor saying "there is no such thing as free lunch."

My guess is the majority of people complaining are playing the micros. I was confused at the amount of disappointment as well, b/c double point days are friggin amazing for anyone in the VIP scheme. At A gear you're getting 90% rakeback ffs...
Yeah, the complaining is going to be coming from the low-stakes regs and the rec-players. Double points if you're a mid-stakes mass-multi-tabler is going to be a pretty good deal.
The point of the promotions should be to entice more fish and satisfy the majority of the player pool, which is largely micro-grinders. And these promos don't do that.
Supercharged Saturday has now been changed to the following:
Play 10,000 hands or 500 MTT/SnG's and earn 750 VIP Points and your account will be credited with a $109 tournament ticket.
It would be nice to see the 750 vip point requirement lowered. Maybe not lowered enough to make it playing 4nl but lowered enough to make it playing 10nl.
All of the requirements just limit the pool. If 750 vip was all that was required I could smoke that any day I decided too play. I'm limit and our rake is huge relative to hands played. By adding 10k hands you, basically remove that segment. By putting it at 750 vip you get rid of NL4/NL10 .. and any rec player.
Double point days are great, as almost no rake as you get up the level tree. Monday/Wed is good for higher stakes, thursday/friday for lower. Full timers might be able to do them all, but I doubt the tourney counts are worth it for a full timer.
As for promo's for fish, they just play they don't research rakeback promo's or they would be regs. Might be a bad reg but still not a 60/20 fish. Promo's are for grinders to play this skin and not that skin.
I hope a bonus comes back soon, or I'm down to 35% rakeback. It's nice but merge rake is brutal.
Can't discount the 150 to 150k .., I wish I could trade the ticket though .., the 100 for 100K satellite was pretty soft. Though took a while to complete, and a lot of folding at the end.
750 points for a freaking $109 value ticket is completely reasonable.
And it's only 200 points (or 5,000 hands) for the different double VIP promos. 200 points....for double points all day. Can you handle that? If not then basically you are simply saying, "RPM needs to give me more...for free."
But on the $109 tickets, if it's not 750 points then essentially you have players paying $25 in rake on the day or something completely silly and getting 400% rakeback (just on the promo alone).
Without the points requirement, you get way more players who grind out the whole thing at the minimum stakes available to get the maximum rakeback value out of it.
To repeat, this is a $109 value. That's kind of a lot.
Giving it for a minimum of $75 rake paid (750 points) is absolutely reasonable. It's actually quite an impressive value. Any promo that is worth over 100% rakeback is pretty damn good.
The previous way when it was just the hands played with no points minimum was pretty insane and I couldn't believe they were doing that. I didn't mind of course. But what a value. Basically, RPM was just giving a bunch of $109 tickets for way closer to free...to a bunch of micro-grinders trying to take advantage of the promo as best as they can, not fish.
The true fish aren't going to play 10k hands. They can't play that many tables to get there and have no idea how it's even possible.
I play on a different skin and am considering switching to RPM and I have a few questions. I figured this was a good thread in which to ask...Is the Overdrive Club still exist and if so does qualifying for Overdrive Club exclude you from the other monthly promos? The RPM page makes a statement about Overdrive Club members not qualifying for other hand based promos so I'm just checking if I'm reading it right. Can you get Overdrive and do this April promo? Also if I make make the first time 150% deposit bonus and make 30,000 points this month are the bonus and Overdrive going to conflict and cancel out one or the other this month?

Winning your way into Overdrive Club will not exclude you from any promotions.
I wasn’t expecting to get any kind of call no matter what my bet size was, tbh. 25nl fr at that time of day is a rock garden filled with fit-or-fold nits. These guys would rather check down even with a full house(maybe) than try anything fancy/silly on that board.
