Btw, I can play semi-blindfold when I can look at an empty board during the game.

There is a book called "Pump up your rating" by Axel Smith. It's an interesting book and it talks about the subject of visualization starting at p. 149. Basically he claims that he can't see the full board either, to which I would add that this probably the reason why he didn't become GM yet. Well, he is rather close and should eventually get there.

Back in the day I was known to outplay FMs and even IMs on a regular basis and yet losing the game with a single gross blunder in the end.
Wow, you'd hate me at the board. I'm usually the one on the other side of that. Plus based on loleuro opinions of USCF ratings I'm barely 2000.

A couple of wins from my last season, including my last official game. You won't find these in any database.

Since all of these opponents were lower rated I didn't prepare for these games as part of a new approach to avoid setting myself under pressure before the game. In fact I even played 1.e4 again for the first time in 20 years since I lost with white in the Marshall back in 1991 and I chose the Nimzo/QID instead of my usual Grünfeld.

24. Kb1 is something like +5, because the engine goes nuts about the white attack. Naturally I didn't even consider this move.

22. Qd2 was already bad, but 25. Nde3 basically blew it, because of Nd4 which I saw when it was his move.

I probably get accused of cheating on chess.com once a week. My games are usually littered with errors, but there are always opponents that if they miss a tactic or lose 3 or 4 games in a row think that only way that could happen is if I was cheating. When I point out errors I've been told that I just must be using a weak engine. people are terrible losers.

Man, this thread delivers in a big way. Before I opened this thread, I couldn't at all visualize how amazing it would be, so that probably lends some credence to Shandrax's claims. For reference, my forum browsing ability Elo is probably about 1800, though it used to be much higher.
