A great chess player, but also a great musician, journalist and most of all - a gentleman and a very kind, modest man.
A few days ago I saw a documentary about him and it totally inspired me. He was such an energetic man.
btw I heard one story in the movie that really amazed me... Years back, Gligoric and Mikhail Tal played a tournament in Belgrade. In game 1 Gligoric won. When they played the second game Gligoric had a great position, considered by everyone present - a winning position. But Gligoric, a great man and a gentleman that he was wanted to be a good host to Tal: At the day of the match there was a football game to be played between Serbia and France and Tal was a football fan, so Gligoric offered him a draw just so that he could take him to the stadium to watch a match. That was who he was: first of all a good friend to everyone in chess, and not an enemy.
May he rest in peace.
