Black to move
Even material: Rook+Pawn vs. Knight+Bishop

Can I salvage this spot?

I'd say 1. ... Qxf3 2. Bxf3 Re6 when whites queenside pawns will most likely fall e.g. 3. Rxe6 fxe6 4. Nc4 Rxb3 etc. I'm not sure whether it is enough for a win.

hmm, I think White is actually better in the endgame, in that line he can play 3. Nxd7 Rxd6 4. Nxb8 Rb6 5. Nd7 Rxb3 6. Be2 (very double edged Bd5 Rxa3 (Rd3? Bf7) and take the f7-pawn before going for the queenside but I think Black's pawns might be fast enough to win) Rxa3 7. Nxc5 a5 8. Bb5 and it looks like only White can win. Admittedly it's hard to win and Black might have a forced draw perpetually attacking the bishop, but I think Black can never force the a-pawn through

I wanted to play 1...Qb1+ 2. Rd1 (Bf1? Re1 looks super dangerous) Re1+ 3. Rxe1 Qxe1 4. Bf1 Rxb6?? but unfortunately the weakness of your back rank means there is 5. Qa8 mating.

I've got 1...Qb1+ 2.Rd1 Re1+ 3. Rxe1 Qxe1 4. Bf1 then mehhhh ...d6? I actually thought that line would have more kustzpah.

Disclaimer: I suck.

computer likes my line but thinks Black is better in that ending, I still think White can hold the draw pretty easily if that's all he wants

im not using a computer but what about Qe1+ then swinging down to a5 putting pressure on the knight?

then Kc4 and bringing the queen down to C7 protecting the d7 pawn and attacking the rook. once it moves, start bringing the pawns up the queen side

Instead of Nc4, 1...Qe1+ 2. Bf1 Qa5 3. Nxd7 is what I'd think.

Usually a pawn that far way from centre is a huge plus with that material. Prob black wins

if Nxd7, can we pin the knight to the d7 square using the b8 rook? possibly moving our queen to the c7 square for help?

3...Nxd7 Rb8-d8 4. Qg4? Kh8 5.??? Qc7 now double pressure on the knight, we can also use the e8 rook in the future
