I am searching for such as system cause I want to spend my (limited) chess study time in endings and middlegames.

One I have in mind is Colle System with b3.

Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

Lol. You can check out my log if you want. That is what I play. It probably shouldn't be called "Colle" but that makes me sad so I'm glad you're calling it the Colle,

It should probably also not be called "Zukertort," either.

But besides all that, I think it is a perfectly fine opening if black plays e6 early. If black does not, white really should know other setups. I don't really (yet) but I know I should, lol.

I used to be much more of an expert on c3 Colle (the *actual* system Colle and then Koltanowski played).

I was crushed so often on the black side of the Colle when I was a 1200 OTB player that I forced myself to learn the Gruenfeld and the KID so the Colle players would have to actually play chess.

The reason why no theory exists to non-theoretical lines is that they are crap. There is also not much if any theory about the subject of shooting yourself in the foot, even tough some guys could have certainly written a book about it.

I play 1. c3 2. g3 sometimes. It's fun, nontheoretical and not as bad as it looks.

I remember a guy who didn't want to learn opening theory, because he claimed that everything was analyzed to death and that his opponents could simply memorize their way to success without having to make a single move on their own. His solution was to study offbeat-lines extensively so he could catch people in lines that they were not familiar with.

I know absolutely zero opening theory byond what i have seen in games, mostly blitz. Can tell ya all kinds of good 1's with e4 as ur 1st move
