Black to move? Doesn't really matter who's move is it, I don't really see any problems here. If you are concerned about 1.. Ke4 + 2. Ke2 and then Rh8 or so, you can always promote a queen and then swing your rook to a king side. Easy win.

? Lots of ways, depending on what black does, I guess. If black does nothing, then Rc7, Rc8, d8. 1. Ke4+ Ke2 2. Rh8 d8=Q 3. Rxd8 Re7+ and the king just escorts the a pawn to queen while the rook keeps the defending king out.

Edit - darn, too slow Yeah, what ^ said.

Analysis:
Material is roughly even, except that white has 4 extra pawns and a passed pawn on the 7th rank.

Plan:
White should queen his pawns.

Moves:
The most hassle-free thing is to do b4, b5, then c6.

ugh idk, i made the position from memory and might have missed the pawn layout by a piece or something. he ended up checking me a bunch of times and then it was a draw.

I am by no means a strong player but the first move I would make here is Ke2.

If it were White to move he'd want to play Rc7, not Ke2.
