Re: Highest rated 2p2er?
Curtains posts regularly here and puts his chess videos up for free(thanks for that btw), and there hasn't been a credible argument here that he isn't the strongest chess-playing 2p2 person. All hail Curtains imo.

Re: Highest rated 2p2er?
I was 108 BCF, but haven't played for 2 years so that will have declined somewhat. Not surehow that converts.

Re: Highest rated 2p2er?
Unfortunately, curtains is the deluded one, I remember him always bitterly complaining about how I clearly just had some kind of mojo looking at a two dimensional board and how I could never beat him OTB etc. (some people will come up with any excuse for losing you know).
I remember even one time I was kicking his butt so badly that he finally resorted in a game to flagging me in King and Rook vs King and Rook (playing it out for like 30 seconds - again when someone stoops that low to win, it's pretty clear how badly they've been getting defeated). Luckily, I had my sweet revenge next game when he played the opening moves in the wrong order and dropped a Rook which I happily took. He then asked me to takeback the last move, and I laughed at him for awhile, before finally agreeing and taking back ONE move at which point he told me "I love you". Then I had another good laugh and played the same move, still taking his Rook! (poor silly curtains had forgotten to ask to takeback the last TWO moves). He then went off on a huge rant, and I didn't hear from him for several days later (I heard some rumors about a mental institution).
In any case, it's clear that he's blocked that and other incidents of me crushing him from his mind or just has selective memory. He still likes to say ridiculous things, claiming that he beat me 70% recently (yeah right), and claiming that he would crush my roommate, GM Josh Friedel if they played (which is probably even more funny than the previous claim). My advice - stick to poker!

Re: Highest rated 2p2er?
USCF rating 617
6 USCF sanctioned tournaments played- last one February 1998.
25 games played, 6 wins and 19 losses, all from 1995-1998 (age 10-13).
I'm sure I've regressed since then. I was at one point one of the better players in my 5th grade class, but then I turned to Sega Genesis and started to get beat by the 2nd and 3rd graders in chess club.
Am I the worst player on 2p2?
P.S.-curtains, I am interested in playing you some time. The only great player I've ever played against was the chess instructor at my elementary school- he currently has a USCF rating of ~2220. He would regularly beat me in like 8 or 10 moves. How many moves would it take you? 4?

Re: Highest rated 2p2er?
No offense jacob but why would curtains bother playing you? Just go on fics or icc and get crushed by any 1600 it will be same difference.

I just made an account and am getting crushed by people with 1200s. I've been observing a lot of the GM/GM, IM/GM and FM/IM matches that are going on on ICC, and it's amazing to me how good these players are. They make moves in less than 2 seconds and it seems like they're thinking 15 moves ahead. Their IQs must be 160+.

Zviad plays poker full time now and reads 2p2 religiously, although posts rarely. His USCF rating is 2635; peak was 2724 but declined as his interest in poker grew, obv.
