im like 1950 fics, 1800 uscf, though i was probably stronger. the club i played at a few years ago made it hard for me to improve my rating. players were either 1200 or 2050-2150. there were no strong b players or a players there.

only played one tournament in the past 2 years, at the n. american open in december. played the u1700 section and scored 5.5/7. was 5.5/6 heading into the final round but played an obvious "sandbagger" in the final round and he out grinded me in a complicated ruy lopez.

Garbage player? WOW, my blitz on fics is ~1700 and 10 years ago USCF was 1650. SO i guess i'm the gunk at the bottom of the garbage can.

I used to play a ton of Bug back in the day from the ages of 9-13 or so (so wow, it would have been 12-15 years ago!) I wasn't particularly strong (1800-1900), but it sure as hell taught me to type extremely fast. I hit about 1800 CFC when I was 14 or 15, but I never had any desire to push any higher than that.

WhoAmI was always a really great guy and a top bugger who had no problems partnering with everyone. I remember reading Flesh's old bughouse page back in the day for partner profiles, and basically he outright stated that WAI was the best bugger, with gnejs as the highest rated but definitely not the best (rating eeker).
