Im sorry, I must not understand something.
You played 24.....bf5 (from c8)
I was thinking that if you did F rook takes rook on F1 on move 24 instead, then white would have to take the rook back with his rook on H1. Then you play 25.....bf5. Which would still be pretty much what you had but with each side losing a rook.
