This is excellent! Thank you very much. I'm a recent IE convert and blindly followed the same method you use with that (at least my IE doesn't have 'Copy Image Location'). I highly doubt I'll ever tilt as long as you stick to the facts

In other words a .jpg, just the jpeg file itself. I don't think amazon will serve it up for you in that form.
Amazon actually will give you just the image. Just make sure you get the larger image first and the image location should start with ecx.images-amazon.com

This method works as well.

Other than the one I posted, my favorite is Chess For Tigers both cover and title. Though How To Cheat At Chess has a cool cover though I hate the thought behind the title.

LOL. This is a really self-deprecating title from a class player. Nice to see such humility.

This is definitely not fair.

Anyone can make up a title (except me, as you know I have trouble with images).

But when you are trying to get a book published and sales may depend upon a title being catchy but not wacko you have to tread a thin line.

I am wondering now if Punker was levelling or not, if not then I think the Huebner title is best by far.

It's a tongue-in-cheek concept where a faux-Kasparov analyzes some of his own losses, and blaming his mistakes on games of his predecessors which he had studied.

Definitely not leveling - I saw it mentioned in NiC in one issue. Not sure it was widely published (or perhaps even never published outside German). Unfortunately, given his re-do of MSMG, it's kinda impossible to do a decent search for his name and chess books.

Of all the fake titles, Soft Pawn is the best.

The Candidness. I'm not much of a reader but the last book I read before this was Jose Canseco's Haha. I've only gotten through 2 chapters so there isnt much to spoil but thusfar she just tells it and isn't afraid to make anyone look foolish.

Spoiler:
Like how Susan Polgar apparently thinks menstrating is a a detriment to playing chess?, lol or Male chess players that think gals can't play because if their natural need to take care of babies allways interfering. Names are named too, which for me always makes it awesome

I just went to the thread Epic Chess Quotes because someone posted their favorite book title in it which caused me to create this thread. I hoped to add it to this thread. It was you!

An honorable mention needs to be made for Garry Kasparov's How Life Imitates Chess. This is not a chess book; it is a book about what chess can teach one about life.
