Hello everyone.

I have a small survey for school I am doing for USA chess players. It does not matter your level of play. It takes 2-3 minutes. Your time is appreciated.

BUT

Link: probably the sketchiest looking link I've ever seen.

I have mixed feelings about this... Risky click of the day?!

Fwiw I am skipping it. Maybe Judit can click on it since I believe cats are immune to viruses.

This test was too hard, did not know what county I lived in.

For what it's worth, I also believe qualtrics to be a legit survey site, so I decided to play the guinea pig and take the survey.

It did not ask me anything unduly personal that I felt could in any way expose me to threats of any kind. Seems safe. And the questions were reasonable questions, mostly about USCF membership and participation in USCF events. As an occasional organizer of tournaments, I would personally love for lots of US chess players to take this survey, and then to be given access to the results. There were some good questions that with enough participation could be a great help to organizers.

To the OP: What will be done with the data? Will it be made publicly available to tournament organizers or is it internal to the USCF?

tl;dr All seems legit, takes less than five minutes, and could make chess in the US better. I would encourage US 2+2ers to click through.

Unskipped it due to BBJ's ringing endorsement. Very painless. Hopefully I win something even though it appears there will not be prizes.
