Feels great to have a nice hack n slash like that with a very good player and come out on top. Obv we were both running crazy low on time at the end. 43. Ref6# would have been a proper ending to the game. As would have 44. Ref6#
I quite liked 25. b6. I love moves that like that that just barely work. If [almost] any piece on the board was moved even a single square away, it wouldn't work. The entire board works together to make that move possible so I think that has some sort of inherent beauty even if it isn't the most complex move.
Absolutely disgusted that I somehow missed 29. Ra3! +- when black can happily resign. 29. Nf6?? is pretty terrible.
