This can be compensated for somewhat by having much higher K factors for new players than for FIDE rated ones. I don't know if this is actually the case.

Thanks for reminding me to look up the Russian K-factors. They're as follows (independent of one's FIDE rating):

RCF rating	K
1000-1199	60
1200-1399	50
1400-1599	40
1600-1799	35
1800-1999	30
2000-2199	25
2200-2399	20
>=2400	10

So it's possible to make one's RCF rating on par with the FIDE one but it's still a long grind.

I feel a need to brag cause I feel underappreciated at my work, so this is the outlet, don't judge me PLS.

I haven't lost a classical chess game since 2015.11.17.

In the 16 classical games since then (LOL sample size) I scored 14 points, with an average rating of opposition being 2214.

If we take away one 1400 kid, I have scored 13 out of 15 vs an opposition of 2265.

Beat 2392 GM, 2563 GM, 2390 IM, 2468 IM and drew 2565 GM in the process.

I am not sure what is happening or why is it happening, but it is very enjoyable
