yeah its great but i mean...
when kasparov reach 2851 in 1999, the guy at 2701 rating was Leko , ranked #11 in the world, kasparov had over 80 points over Anand , ranked #2.
i mean it is amazing but we can see, even tho Carlsen has 51 pts over ranked #2 Aronian, wich is an amazing accomplishement, you have 50 players at 2700 +
you can do the same with Fisher just cutting off 100 pts.
with Fisher at 2785 in 1972,leading with 125 pts more then Spassky ranked #2, only 13 player were at 2600+.

So compare the ratings at the equivalent age. In July 1986, Kasparov was 2740 and had a 35-point lead on the World #2. I don't think the ELO list was published when Fischer was that age (circa 1966), but in 1969 at age 26, Fischer was 2720 and had a 30-point lead on the World #2. So by comparison, Magnus's 2880 with a 50-point lead is arguably the most impressive by far.
