what I could think of is

1. Nf3 f6
2. Nd4 Nh6
3. g4 c6
4. d3 g6

but I am pretty new to it and I am not sure that white best line.

I think Nh6 is forced, not sure what the best move is after g4

Nh6 is the best move.
Anyone here want to play me on fics? 1619 right now, but i'm underrated. Hoping there's someone here at about 1900+ who could play some games vs me, but if you are rated lower than me it's okay. post in this thread for challenge please.
My handle on fics is TensaiGG

White HAS to have a forced win in this game imo, im surprised it hasnt been found yet.

Where can I practice this without the need for another human opposition?

It certainly seems that way

I'm not sure what the endgame theory is though, maybe there are a lot of endgames that can be drawn so Black can escape into some ****ty endgame a piece down.

It looks like material advantages in endgames are difficult to judge.

For instance, QQQr-Kk is a draw. Fortunately, four queens are sufficient (in general).

Nh6 is completely forced, to deal with the dual threat of Nf5 (...Nxf5) and Nb5 (...Ng4! wins whites king). Thus if white plays 3.g4 (3.Nf5 is probably better and 3.e3 is most critical) black simply deals with the Nb5 threat. 3...b5 is probably most accurate but 3...c6 is also completely fine for black.

As for endings, the vast majority of endings (not super low material) are won for the side with an extra piece/pawn.

As for openings, I haven't played much in the last year or so but having played with & talked with the very best in the game, my impression is
a) the game is won for white with best play (though I'm not 100% sure)
b) very very very few people know a forced line which gives white a significant advantage
c) the majority of common (i.e. black hasn't blundered) positions after 2/3 moves are drawn, and the "forced winning advantage" lines are very specific & rare.

Wow, when you memorize the openings well, and get good positions vs the best on fics its like you're playing a completely different game.
the complications in lines when you get past the opening is just crazy. i'm pretty sure many of the best have remembered every single blunder in every main line up to move 20 or so, because every solid move i make turns out to be a blunder 5 moves later.

when i thought i had overcome the theory advantage that the opponents i was playing against had and start to get a higher rating and play better players, i now have to learn much more and complicated theory... Glad i love remembering lines.

anyways, just broke 1700, though I would guess my performance rating the last 40 or so games is more like 1750+ though.
BRAG: beat bomba(2090) on fics as black. Obviously because he blundered, but it was past the hard theory part of the game.

Interesting historical note about moltenstudios website: "moltenthinker" and I used to regularly meet on the top boards of Toronto (and occasionally Southern Ontario) scholastic tournaments. He's quite the character.
