We're particularly shallow in the 1607-1934 range where we have 0 players. The two teams we are playing have 12 and 14 players in this range! lol.

I don't mind playing someone a couple hundred points better than me but someone who is rated higher probably has a better chance against them.
You know you are talking to me...and you know the risks that come with that. I purposely didn't sign up, but will if you give the go ahead.

Rei, there's a chance you get matched up with the cute 29 year old Korean actress girl with an IMDB page.

Yea no one worry about your ratings, just get in. We have a big edge on the top boards anyway so it's fair to give them at least the illusion of chance.
Let's try to get as many players as possible for both matches:

Or just create a 2nd user name just to use for BS 2p2 tourneys. Unless that's considered unethical?

lol, I don't have an Asian fetish, if that's the implication. I picked this SN because I identify strongly with the character.

Yeah but you always post about Hou Yifan. lol. Besides, one doesn't need an Asian fetish to want to play chess against a cute Korean actress.

Her account is probably a 400 pound guy from Boise, Idaho.

Maybe the nose guard for the Boise State Broncos. In order to be paired w/ the "actress" we need a lot more players as shes #22.

In. Thanks for posting those links, I had no idea what to do after clicking on the 2p2 chess.com profile page. Wasn't gonna spend more than 30 seconds trying to figure it out.

You don't feel emotions, are quite odd, yet are slowly becoming a real human?

Doesn't match up from your posts afaict but it's been a long time since I watched any that anime.

Rei and Doc, sign up for these matches. We need you. Ratings don't really matter. 2+2!, 2+2!, 2+2!

What I forgot to mention is that I can't spare the extra hour a day for the games. Bad timing. I have a lot of reading and writing to do this month.

You'll be paired against a 1666 in one tourney and a 1640 in another, which means you'll need about 10 total minutes every 3 days to crush

Where is BobJoeJim? Did he opt out since we already have a BJJGuy? And why is BJJGuy signed up for only 1 tourney? We def. need him in both.

I've got too many active World League games right now (that are higher priority for me) to sign up for new matches atm.

Do you want me to resign our game renodoc so you can feel better about your rating? The first 20 games you will always be underrated (unless you literally don't know how the pieces move).

Like 75% of my losses are due to timeouts, but my actual rating is likely in the 1700 range. I know I could maintain an 1800, but 1900 is not me until I decide to learn openings, which I will never do.

It's Shuffle as well I think. Does grando not play anymore? We also need to get BJJGuy signed up for the other one.

I just sent BJJGuy a PM on chess.com asking him to join both. Will PM Grando on here to see if he still plays.

As usual we're stacked on the top boards and outmatched on depth (on paper anyway).

Jumped in myself, debut appearance for the 2+2 team.

Correspondence ratings are somewhat inflated sub-2000 or so, so you should be fine as long as you analyze thoroughly and blunder-check everything, etc.

Correspondence ratings on chess.com are severely inflated compared to the faster time controls. As long as you don't time out and aren't trying to play 100 games at a time (as some do), those matchups seem like they should be reasonable for you.
