Starting to see more and more of these online, worth the price?

Also, what's up with VitorHollanda?? Website is down and he didn't reply to my emails... I wanted a nice custom made board from him g

I was in NY last week and saw a Romangnoli board at Scully & Scully (Park Ave between 60th and 59th). It was superbly made and priced at $1300. To me, it seemed worth the money, although I'd have a slight preference for a Tak Morioka custom board at that price.

The store also had Geoffrey Parker sets at $4000 each. I liked them even more, but they're really for the player for whom money is no object.

I'll be in NY tomorrow maybe i'll go take a look. They look exactly like the Zaza&Saccisets on Gammon Village, same double handles, same checkers... but 600$ cheaper. I'm pretty sure I saw Romagnoli boards for cheaper than 1300$

Of course if I'm going to pay 1500$ for a board I'd go with a Taki too.
