Is that for Part (a) or (b) or both?

Are you serious? Someone gives up high level backgammon knowledge and insight worth hundreds of thousands of dollars week in, week out for nothing and your reponse is this?

I realized after posting that It should have said..If anyone sees Robertie in Vegas tell him 2+2 is back up. But you might not think that's funny either. Bill has a good sense of humor. But your post reminded me of the maddest I have ever seen Bill.

First you have to know that prebackgammon he was a great chess player2300+ I think. And he was a really good speed player. Sometime in the 1980's I saw him sit down in Harvard square and lose two straight speed games to one of the regulars there. He got up absolutely fuming and stormed off. I've seen him mad after losing backgammon matches but nothing to compare to losing those two games. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the $2 per game. But sorry if you were offended.

I was hoping it was a half-joking, half-drunk remark, but if it's not, then...

...+1 to Wamy's comment

If anyone sees Mr Robertie in Vegas - wish him very Good dice from me

Q. a: Hm.. white will double next turn and gammons count 13/7 6/5 for me.
I dont think 13/7 13/12 is inferior because of more shots imho the checker on 13 controls more area ?!

Q. b: I`d jump 24/17 because this may win the most games - gammons don`t count.

Ask Stick, what he cashes for his daily quiz. Poker is the name of the game. Perhaps cockfight betting in the near future, if the snowie guys will set up their hold'em bot.
