Ha ha yeah I have to sit really close. It really doesn't bother me that much because you can only ever tell it seems on a blue or green solid background so it really doesn't affect much. I always like to add low content if I can.

Bill, can you sticky this thread, that way it will get used and people won't feel the need to start new threads that are unlikely to get any/many responses.

Back in October 2010, Zoe Cunningham mentioned that her company has been doing some filming of backgammon events such as the Nordic Open and London Open.

A 30 minute video of the 2011 London Open has been released. I would like to thank Zoe and the crew for all they do for promoting backgammon.

I'm looking to get into backgammon and I'm an absolute beginner. I don't know any of the rules or even what the goal of the game is. Where can I find a resource that explains all of this to me?

The World Backgammon Championship is on in Monte Carlo and they are down to the semi-finals. American Paul Weaver (who co-authored Backgammon Openings with Nack Ballard) will play Italian Fabio Gullotta, while reigning champ Mochizuki Masayuki of Japan will play fellow countryman Takumitsu Suzuki.

Does anyone check out Stick's forums at http://www.bgonline.org/forums/? Some fantastic players and advice over there but the forum software is a joke.
