gnu evolution

Since i had problems with my internet radiostation, and the helpdesk recommended to use mozarilla firefox instead of google chrome as webbrowser, i feel a lot of sympathy for open source applications. I will swop windows for ubuntu, and give up on my plan to go for extremegammon.
However, extremegammon has some nice features that gnu is lacking. Gnu should be able to evaluate during play, so you don't have to wait after the match. It would also be pleasant if rollouts could be done in one time over the more severe mistakes during a match. Is there any hope that future versions will meet in this?
