Thanks Mike,
I don't get a chance to read the posts on here so appreciate your answer. I wanted to point out that random.org modified the way they serve random numbers to applications like ours. It originally broke older versions of GNUbg (< 1.05) and we ultimately used non-random numbers. I contacted the admins at random.org and for the next few months random.org has modified their web servers to allow older versions of GNUbg to use their services as they did previously.
What this means is that although random.org broke with GNUbg a few weeks back, it isn't currently a problem in versions < 1.05.000. This will change in a few months when our grace period is up.
If people use random.org for a source of numbers you will be required to upgrade to 1.05.000 or later (with new random.org support) when the grace period is over. I don't know exactly when that will be but I don't think we can expect it to work after April.
As for when we'll see an official 1.05.000, that will likely be Sunday February 8th.
There is also the possibility that 1.05.000 will be the last version to support Win 2000 and Windows XP. This is still not decided.
