Any input is appreciated

Hi Guys,
I have been a silent viewer up to now.Could I get input on what you would play here and why? before I put it through a bot and bow without knowing.

I would move up and grab the barpoint (22/18 23/18).

Creates a nice connected position. If you play 22/13 you still have three men stranded, that are gonna be hard to extricate. Also with the barpoint you will likely have holding game to fall back on.

My instinct was also 23/18 22/18 but then again, I'm a n00b at BG.

This is close to your best roll and making the 18-point is clear. The runner-ups are running a checker into the outfield with either 22/13 or 23/14.

A big mistake new players make is thinking you're committed to a backgame once you make two back points. In fact, as long as you're not primed you're looking to upgrade whenever possible.

Part II

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the input. I did in fact make that play but wasn't sure. Now this position from the same game caused me grief, for I didn't what to do.

Thanks in Advance.

I thoughts my options were:
1.Run off the Anchor: less shots and maybe some returns
2.Run off the opponents Bar or
2.Puss Play move from my 8 points into my home board. Yuck!

Run off the bar point, its the only thing that makes sense at this point. he's shooting back at you with 8's or 6's and his 6's are from his stripped mid. You need some spares ASAP or your position is going to collapse.
